This Blu-ray series reviewed on a Vizio 65" M class 4k tv & Audio via Vizio true 5.1 Soundbar system.
*The low rating is a result of a personal dislike of the series it does not reflect the quality of the picture , audio or blu-ray product itself (as I explain below).
I'm a fan of the original Twin Peaks television series. I am absolutely not a fan of this self-indulgent send-up. It literally felt as if David Lynch was mocking his fans. You'd swear he wanted nothing to do with this production & was simply being defiant while filming. It's a total mess. Neither here nor there and Unbearably Slow.
On the bright side, the Audio & Video are Very Nice. I would say the Audio takes the trophy here but I couldn't get the ring of cash registers out of my head thinking about how many fans bought into this.

Nice Picture & Audio on this Blu-ray edition. I opted for the Blu-ray this time as the word is that the blu-ray is comparable to the 4k edition.
I've never been much of a Vaughn fan so I was surprised that I enjoyed his portrayal as a low key badass as much as I did. Elements of this film reminded me of 70's exploitation fare without the Tarantino-twists. It's simply a situation concerning imperfect people forced into a bad situation which generally spirals out of control & over the top. In this case a Badass in a BadAssed situation. Vince Vaughan is not a small man (est. 6'4" , 200+ lbs) & they play this up as much as possible resulting in some unflinching & convincing brutality.
As an aside, the soundtrack is a curious mixture of 70's soul etc. I also recommend this Director, S. Craig Zahler's previous effort "Bone Tomahawk", which stars Kurt Russell, especially if you enjoy gritty, exploitation-esque westerns. All-in-all these are fun guy movies & I look forward to Zahler's next effort.

4k version viewed on a 65" Vizio M class monitor & an HDR 4K (variant) Projector system (110"). My Verdict? You can save some money if you purchase the Blu-ray version instead as I found the 4k picture to be lackluster. On the bright side I found the Surround Sound to be very well designed with a lot of effective punch & gritty sound effects (sans Atmos). Overall this was a good movie that is more effective if you follow The Rules to enjoying a Horror Film... #1 Watch it at night (especially a windy night) #2 Turn off the Lights & the Phone #3 No kids, no partiers (no distractions) I felt this movie was similar to films like: Stranger Things, Super 8 & a darker mixture of Stand by Me & Monster Squad. Essentially, coming-of-age gone Creepy.

* This Blu-ray was viewed on a 65" Sony Bravia 930D 4k smart tv & Onkyo 5.1 for the Audio Surround Sound format.
Firstly, it must be said that this is a South Korean made movie so you will have subtitles as with any foreign movie. With that out of the way I have personally found South Korean Cinema to be great surprise & generally not for the squeamish as it pertains to their more mature & unpredictable action/horror ventures. *(Other S. Korean film Suggestions at end of review)
Train to Busan yielded a nice Video Transfer tho not necessarily Demo material. The Audio was also good. Nothing spectacular jumped out at me with this surround sound presentation.
This was a good movie that surprisingly held focus on Family Values or moreover the loss of them nearly as much as it concerned itself with the modern viral zombie DoomsDay scenario. It presented situations that generally don't benefit the self-absorbed individualistic characters typified in this particular zombie romp & veered more towards moralisms which I actually considered a defining strength. The Focal point here is kept small & more personal as opposed to an overview of world-wide mayhem. Hardcore zombie lovers won't find much flesh to feast on here as suspense seems to be the chosen tool of the trade. Gunplay is virtually non-existent. Overall, having been a long-time zombie film aficionado I would give this production an Average Rating.
* If you find South Korean Cinema to be a worthy adventure I would suggest these Twisted little Titles for those who like it Dark & Unpredictable. - Tell Me Something - Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance - I Saw the Devil - OldBoy - The Chaser - The Isle - Phone (2002) - Shiri - The Tube - Tae Guk Gi

Fantastic Season w/top-notch Video & Audio Quality

This Season 4 did not disappoint. I honestly felt that Season 3 was the weakest of the series making me nervous about purchasing this 4th Season (Not having seen it yet)... but have no fear it's all here from the exciting writing for each episode that includes mature drama building to fun pacing to the rampant scheming with all of the shifting alliances that keep the viewer guessing & of course highly developed characters & great battle scenes.
VIDEO / AUDIO Quality *I viewed this bluray series on my 65" Sony 930D 4k UHD TV whilst listening via a mid-level Onkyo 5.1 (atmos capable) full surround sound (all-in-one) system.
The Video & Audio presentation through this entire 4 season series has been exceptional. The tropical/oceanic scenery affords ample opportunity to enjoy great color contrast: lush green vegetation, crystal blue-green Caribbean waters, well defined woodgrain textures around the sailing ships and fantastic detail of each actor's fine facial characteristics like individual whiskers , wrinkles, pores, dirt smears & sand. Last but not least this bluray really shows of the great design and attention to detail of the period costumes. Rendering the full detail of the costume materials & colors whether sun-beaten or fresh & vibrant.
The Audio is also a blast as you'll cringe & feel like ducking under the screaming cannonballs during the ship battles. Wood is bashed , smashed & splintered seemingly hurled at the listener.

Typo: Actually is Yamaha RX-A 660 Not 665 open box

*Open Box Purchase RX-A660 (not 665) I've used & enjoyed Yamaha receiver/amps for many years. Normally they are a great value. Bang for the buck combined with watt rating accuracy & high fidelity made these a personal favorite. This one packs a lot of goodies into a small but heavy package. ...in short it packed More power than I felt it was rated at. That was great...But- I did everything in my power (including calling Yamaha) to straighten out a LipSyncing issue which was pervasive from all source material. Nothing I could do. Turned out to be a hardware issue. I returned the product...& I was bummed as it otherwise Seemed to be what I was hoping for. Everything else Wi-Fi etc. worked great. I still wish their Remotes would light up for better nighttime use. I'm currently testing a lauded Sony STR-DN1080 as a potential replacement.
