Spotlight is easily the best film of 2015, and it's easy to understand why the Academy gave this film the Oscar for Best Picture. Tom McCarthy directed and co-wrote this masterpiece about a group of newspaper journalists from the Boston Globe who are looking into the story of Catholic priests and the allegations of their actions. McCarthy's direction and writing are top notch. The cast stands out all around. Mark Ruffalo is the MVP as Mike Rezendes, who is particularly into working on this story due to being from the area. Rachel McAdams gives her career best as Sasha, who empathizes with the victims. Michael Keaton also stands out as Walter "Robby" Robinson, who is leading the Spotlight team.
Daniel Craig has proven to be one of the best James Bond actors out here, and shows great chops again with Spectre. While not as great as Skyfall, Spectre is still an entertaining Bond flick. Sam Mendes returned to the director's chair and made another great film.
