Are these compatible with the Chromecast audio?
yes, they work with Chromecast audio. I didn't like having to download yet another app to use it with it though. I originally bought the Chromecast audio ($35) and a Rocketfish Bluetooth Receiver ($50) to try them both. It works with BOTH.....BUT, with the Rocketfish made more sense for us....several people using severral devices and no need to download additional apps on every device. Play from existing playlists.
If distance is over 30 feet you should use 12 gauge speaker wire for best sound...trust me, it makes a difference.

can i use this telephone set in another country?
i want to use this phone set in colombia but i am hesitated to buy it because since is an At&t brand i am not sure that it will work with the telephone providers over there
it doesn't say anything in manual about outside the USA. it does have customer service # 800-222-3111 and www.telephones.att.com for help.

what sort of range do you have away from the base?
i can use anywhere in house and about 15 feet outside, but it would depand on what's in the area also.....we live in the country.

does this phone have speed dial.
yes.....it has 9 speed dial spots available, but also has a directory built in that holds 50 names. very easy to use the directory andsave them into the directory and edit the name or number.

Do I need to connect a phone line to each base?
NO....only to main base, the rest DO NEED regular house outlet to plug into though.
