My old DVD player stopped working, so I picked up this one to replace it. I opted to buy this one instead of a 4k player because of the savings. For some reason I had a hard time getting the movie to show up on the TV screen the first time I used it, but I don't think it was because of the player. Once I disconnected the HDMI cable from both the DVD player and the TV, and then reconnected it, the movie worked fine. Overall, it works good so far.

nothing works no display or anything how do i reset this player
I had the same problem, which took awhile for me to fix. Ultimately I just disconnected the HDMI cable from BOTH the DVD player AND the TV, then reconnected the HDMI cable, which solved my problem. Not sure why this would fix the issue, but it did. I have to stress removing the HDMI cable from both the DVD player and TV at the same time, because I removed the cable from them individually and reconnected, which didn't make a difference. It wasn't until I disconnected the HDMI cable from both the DVD player and the TV at the same time, and then reconnected it, that it started working.
