Cut down on preparation time in the kitchen with this Hamilton Beach 70740 8-cup food processor that features a 450-watt motor, as well as a stainless-steel slice/shred disc and chopping s-blade to chop, slice, shred, grate and mix with ease.
We were looking for a basic medium-size model that didn't have a lot of discs and other additional attachments, nothing too fancy. So far it seems to chop and puree various things well, rather quickly and fairly evenly. The so-called 8 cup capacity may be a bit misleading though. Sometimes if you have more volume, it might be better to do things in two batches as opposed to throwing all your stuff in at once, especially liquids or ingredients with some liquids. Overall good but not for large amounts of food or large recipes.
What's great about it: purees and chops well
What's not so great: bowl already seems a bit marked after fairly limited use
