I had the first radar detector ever made... the Fuzzbuster, totally useless; more of a suggestion the police are next to you. I upgraded from the 9100 series as the Max2 went on sale because the Max3 is out.
The 9100 is great, the best radar detector I ever had and I transferred it to my wife's car. The Max2 is just as good as it gives ample warning and the mute button on the plug is one of my favorite features.
