This case lives up well, if not exceeding, the standards of tech21. Just the other day I dropped my phone from a sitting position in a restaurant on tile floors. The phone actually bounced on all four corners of the case and landed on its back side. I was startled to see the phone bounce. Not a mark on the phone and that sold me on realizing I bought the right case.

This dash cam provides nearly all the features one would look for in a device designed for driver safety. The display can be set to dim or stay live. On the display bottom, and display recording, are the date and time, gps location and vehicle speed. Essential if being used in defense of your driving. The dash cam also provides collision avoidance that can be adjusted to your liking and a red light camera notification.
The greatest feature I found was the recording. When I press the video record button, the dash cam records the previous 1 1/2 minutes and continues to record for an additional 1 1/2 minutes. This does create a rather large mp4 file around 180MB but can be easily edited. There is also a snapshot button that allows pics to be taken for additional accident information.
A suction cup holder would be nice if it were included but the unit does come with an adhesive mount. Also the SD card is only 4GB which can record two events without overwriting.
I drive semi over the road, which can be rough, but the image quality is excellent. I can take the SD card and insert in my tablet and view the video with no additional software. I can pause the video and pinch zoom to read license plates. Can't ask for anything more!

Excellent camera for beginners and intermediate users. Great features from auto mode to full programmable settings. WiFi features are easy to connect to a smartphone for image or video transfer. Bought for a birthday present and have not regretted the purchase yet.

No, this is an independent camera that records to a SD card. Quality and features are excellent, but it can not be interconnected to your pioneer.

Hi, I have seen a review, where the customer say's that there is no audio on this cam.

There is no audio. To me that's fine since it would probably record me saying something I shouldn't if in an accident. It does record date, time, location and speed onscreen in saved recordings.

Do any models come with a built in battery to run without power cord? Are SD cards formatted and usable with Mac?
Built in rechargeable battery for removal for video and snapshots outside of vehicle. Not site about Mac but the file is mp4. And images are jpg.

IS the video in small clips?
Is the video cut up into short segments or clips? 5 minutes? 20 Minutes?
The video saves in three minute recordings. 1 1/2 minutes before you push the button and an additional 1 1/2 minutes after. The unit records in a continuous overwriting loop but does not tamper with saves unless space is an issue and then it overwrites the oldest file first. I have not been able to view unsaved files.

How long will it record with a 64GB Card?
How long can it record with a 64GB Card?
I believe you could calculate out the amount. I have the included 4GB card and can save 2 three minute events without overwriting. That means you should be able to save around 30 three minute recorded events in 1080. More if you use 720 resolution.

Will This Work With Android?
Completely compatible with android. I have Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy S6 edge. I have not tried the nfc feature but the WiFi is easy to set up. Simply set the camera as a host type for the WiFi and then search for the WiFi with your phone. After the first time connecting the devices remember the connection and automatically connect.
