More Convenient Than Expected

I bought this watch for my wife as a Christmas present when I couldn't think of anything to buy for someone who already has everything except a watch. I read the reviews, watched a few videos, and felt that this would be a cool gift for a techy person.
The watch synced and was up and running within a minute or so. Set-up was easy, as was downloading and configuring apps. There are a ton of options for the watch face alone, which I thought was cool.
I thought my wife would not like the wrist strap that comes with it, but she loves it because it is comfortable. The ease of use and control options also impressed me. Who would have known that physically pressing down on the watch's face to activate menus and features would be a possibility?
Its smart sensors also impressed me. Turning your wrist to check the time, as one would do with a regular watch, activates the screen to display the time. So simple, yet so awesome. Controlling apps like Spotify on your watch rather than taking your phone out of your pocket to change the song is also another feature that I found to be more convenient than expected.
I, myself, am not an Apple person. This watch is making me consider making the switch from Android.

I bought two copies of this game, one for each of my daughters - aged 8 and 6. I briefly played the demo and quickly decided that this was not my type of game because I'm not too thrilled about turn-based strategy RPGs, though I did have fun with it. However, my daughters love it, and I'm sure anyone else who appreciates silly and slapstick humor would enjoy it as well.
This game makes excellent use of Miis that have been created by oneself and by other players in SpotPass. If you have amiibo figures that aren't getting much use in other games, they may be useful here as there are many character costumes that can be unlocked with a corresponding amiibo.
Even though I'm not a big fan of these types of games, I have very much enjoyed Find Mii and other Mii Plaza games because they do not take much time to play a round. Miitopia does not have the same limitations as those games and can be played for hours on end, which would appeal to those who also enjoy Mii Plaza games and want to get a little or a lot more out of them.

Maximum Convenience!

I bought this remote control because some of the control mappings were different between DVD, Blu Ray, and streaming services. This remote simplifies all of that by dedicating buttons for specific controls. Play, reverse, advance, stop, etc. are all controlled using the same buttons across each of the different media offerings listed above.
Also, when using a PS4 controller, accidentally bumping it would cause a shoulder button to be pressed and the program I was watching would then advance or go in reverse. Then remembering which button would pause, stop, or play would be a guessing game I did not like to play.
Additionally, I was able to program my TV and sound bar easily with this remote. The only drawback - and it's a minor one - is that the remote seems to go to sleep after a few minutes. I'll pick it up to adjust the volume and then may need to turn it on again by pressing the [AMP] button, even if it was the last device I controlled.

Great Design, Awesome Exclusives

I did not care much for amiibo until I started playing Breath of the Wild. This particular amiibo has a great design and is a little smaller than the other Legend of Zelda line of amiibo, except for the toon variety.
The Fierce Deity armor and sword that you can get with this amiibo look great in the game. There are better armor and swords in the game, but they don't all look as cool. To upgrade the armor, however, you'll need to find some rare items like star fragments and dragon parts, so be aware that it may take considerable time and effort.
Additionally, this amiibo will also serve as a Link amiibo for unlocking Link-exclusive items in games such as a Mii costume in Mario Kart 8.

Sounds Good, But Works Best with Better TVs

I bought this soundbar to replace an outdated surround sound system in my living room. My bedroom TV has an LG soundbar that sounds great, so I thought I would stick with LG for the living room.
The living room TV is also a bit outdated and not known as a premium brand, so it took some time to fine tune the TV's output audio to sound great with the soundbar.
The soundbar has only a few simple presets, but they all seem to be better than the TV's internal speakers in regards to clarity and loudness.

I have purchased the Geek Squad Protection for a number of items over the years, but I had only needed it once. I had purchased a coffee maker for about $160 and it lasted me about 22 months before it stopped working. I forgot that I had purchased the Geek Squad Protection for it, but I found my contract information in my e-mail after a simple search.
I brought the coffee maker to my local Best Buy store, explained my situation to the returns associate, showed my contract number, and I was given a refund for the purchase price of the coffee maker. Fortunately, a newer model of the coffee maker was available at $10 less than what I had previously paid and I also received a $15 gift card as part of a promotion for purchasing that particular coffee maker. And, yes, I did purchase the Geek Squad Protection again for my new coffee maker.

First Real Exposure to Crash Bandicoot - I Love It

I had been a PC gamer until 2015, but I was familiar with console games and characters. The only Crash Bandicoot game I played prior to the N. Sane Trilogy was Crash Team Racing for the original Playstation.
My wife, on the other hand, had played many Crash Bandicoot games and was excited about this release, which is why we bought it. Her takeaway was that she doesn't remember it being as difficult as it is, but that the graphics are amazing.
Having this be my first real exposure to what Crash Bandicoot is known for, I was not exactly sure what to expect. Having played and watched my wife and kids play as well, I would have to agree with my wife that the game is difficult and looks amazing. The difficulty and challenge of the game is actually a plus for me. I appreciate games that will keep you playing over and over again because part of the fun is the challenge.
A lot of games these days allow you to get hit many times before you're defeated, and you usually get to spawn in a convenient place relative to where you died in-game. With these games, there is little protection offered against enemies, and you restart at checkpoints that you have activated or at the beginning of the level - adding to the difficulty and strive to do well.
The game is also goofy, wacky, zany - you name it. It's hard to be mad and frustrated at the game when Crash's deaths can make one laugh.
For an easier Crash Bandicoot experience, I would suggest Skylanders Imaginators. That was my kids' first exposure to Crash and that made them want to play the N. Sane Trilogy.

More Than Two Games In One

I have played various adaptations of Tetris for 25 years and had never played Puyo Puyo prior to this game. When I heard about this one, I thought I would check out the demo and then buy it if I liked it. Sure enough, I liked it and bought it.
The demo itself was great in that there were a few different play modes for Tetris and Puyo Puyo to be played by themselves and also a mode in which it would switch back and forth between the two in the same game.
When I played the full version, there was also a game that combined puyos and tetronimoes, as well as somewhat of a story mode, and a few other modes that I have not even played because the others are so fun that I want to keep playing those.
It's a challenging game, but a lot of fun. The characters are somewhat strangely perky and chime in a lot during the game, but it makes the game more competitive and intense, especially against other players.

Can Be Repetitive, But Neverending Fun

I have played some of the Mario Kart titles on various Nintendo Systems and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on the Switch is my favorite for a number of reasons.
Visually, it's stunning. The tracks are colorful and have a lot going on in the background, but not distracting. The shading when moving from a bright area to a dark or shadowy area is something to be appreciated.
The characters are great, and especially more fun that you are able to race as a Mii with a costume after scanning a compatible amiibo. There is a fun selection of Nintendo characters, obviously mostly from the Super Mario series.
I also enjoy playing updated versions of tracks from previous Mario Kart games from other consoles such as SNES, 3DS, etc. Tracks inspired by other Nintendo games such as Excite Bike and The Legend of Zelda are great, especially with music inspired by those games.
Great game to play, especially with others locally.

This film had its moments. A little slow here and there, but interesting all the while. I knew nothing about this movie before watching it, so after having watched "Narcos," I was hoping for a lot of action and suspense. While it was not what I thought it would be, it did get suspenseful towards the end and it did not disappoint.
