I first tried nest 3rd gen, then decided on ecobee 4 because it's just a better product and better support. They fixed all the problems with Alexa, with the new update, that they just released a few days ago. Now I don't have multiple echos responding at the same time. Works with Google and siri. I have it setup up with Google although homekit was a bit tricky but like I said their tech support is top notch. Got it working in no time. The display panel is bright and it's a touch screen, forget spinning a dial over and over. Shows the temp big and what it's set at, unlike nest. And the extra sensor makes the overall comfort way better than nest. Also when calling nest I was on hold for ever and they claim that if the back panel is damaged you have to buy a while new system. When I emailed ecobee they updated my thermostat immediately and fixed the esp firmware in no time.

Bought for Kindle Reading and Amazon prime

First, I would like to say I own iPads, iPhone, and many things Apple. Second, I also own many android devices. The main reason for this tablet was to take advantage of the lending library that comes Amazon prime. Over all I would purchase this over an iPad mini any day just for the value alone. At first I thought the display wouldn't be up to snuff compared to my iPad, but for movies and reading, it was good enough that it doesn't take away from the experience.
However, there are a few annoying "features" that are on but can and should be turned off. The "on-deck" is a great feature, but I would have liked to have known it was downloading tons of movies in the background, eating up space and bandwidth. A better function would have been to let us choose what to download, instead of getting movies Willynilly. Be sure to turn this off when you get your tablet or it will run slow, and you'll be thinking the tablet is slow.
Ok on to kindle for reading. Unfortunately, reading isn't as great as I thought it would be because it doesn't allow scrolling. Works on kindle devices but not on kindle fire devices. If you don't mind flipping the page, then you won't have a problem, but for me, can read much faster by scrolling.
One last point, most of the apps aren't as polished under the "Amazon Store" as in the Google play store. I know this because I have an Nexus phone and compared them. For example, the Hue app doesn't even work from Amazon Store. Anyway, this point shouldn't deter you from buying it cause there are solutions.

After getting hue lights it was difficult to adjust the lights without an electronic device nearby. Or Alexa, Google, or Siri within earshot to issue the commands. So this switch made it easy. Note, these switches are magnetically attached to the wall plate, so you can remove them and use them as a handheld remote as well. They are also programmable to set up different scenes for the on switch. It worked so well I bought one for each room.

Google Home smarter than Echo

I've been reading all the reviews saying Home will be better than Alexa, but I have both Home and Alexa wired to my hue lights and audio. For me, it seems Google home is just easier to use. You can fumble your command and it seems to just figure it out. Whereas Alexa you have to be very precise, even with pronunciation. I never listened to podcasts until Google home because I didnt want to have to install an app or download or figure it out. With Home you just say play the Serial podcast, and right away it plays it. It will even restart were you left off. A function I incorporated with IFTTT was to tell Google to get the kids. This would flash the lights in their room, so I wouldn't have to walk upstairs to call them down for dinner. Yes, it makes us lazier but also makes our busy lives easier.

Perfect for connecting Sonos to Google Home

I bought this to connect my Sonos to Google Home. I currently, have this to my line in on my Sonos5. And set the line in for autoplay. I named Chromecast Audio as Sonos. So when I issue a command to "play music on my Sonos", it will play thru there to my sonos and when I say stop or skip song it works. If I want to play it throughout all my speakers then I have to pull up the clunky sonos app and group it. Otherwise, it works great.

Works as my alarm clock

I had Alexa on my firestick tv which was nice, but she only worked when the TV was on. So with the Dot, it made it more convenient. I could use the DOT as a bedside alarm clock. I use the dot to turn on and off my lights. You have to be careful with names, she doesn't recognize names very well so if you were to say turn off Alice's lights, it wouldn't work. It would reply don't a device name a lish etc.... So better to name it bedroom or bathroom. If you want a order pizza, or call a uber this is the toy for you.

I purchased this kit so I didn't have to change the lights for every holiday. I bought this and the 21 lightbulbs. They seem to work ok but not flawless. There were times when I would ask Alexa or Google to turn off the lights and one light would still remain on. But ask them a second time and they would turn it off. Working with just app, seems to work without problems.
