Ed did a great job mixing the flow on this CD. When listening you don't get bored, but rather you start bobbing your head and even replaying a lot of the songs. I like Perfect, Galway Girl, Supermarket Flowers and of course Shape of You. But I have to say this is a good follow up to X.
Although this CD is full of the customary Mary J Blige Drama, it just didn't do anything for me. And now like so many artists today, she has resorted to cursing which I don't recall her doing even back in the day. I still think you should buy it even if it's just to add to your Mary collection. But I wasn't impressed after her 4 year hiatus.
This Leela James CD is her best yet. The title is on point. Each song is about a different experience about love. Hard For Me, Don't Want You Back, Good to Love You are my favorites, but I am certain you will enjoy all 12 tracks of this, the best CD Leela James has put out!
If you're not familiar with Mali Music then this release will whet your appetite for his previous releases. He sings what I call "Message Music". Each song is about a relevant topic and his songs about relationships make you think he may have actually been through it. What a delightful break from the nonsense that many sing about today. Go Get This CD!
Finally! It's been awhile since Jay has put out his 13th release and it didn't disappoint. From beginning to end shows wh he's considered the best in the business. I highly recommend this CD!
Check out my earlier review. Breezy is going down in his lyrical content. I am very disappointed with this cd. Too much explicit bed room talk. Most parents can't (or shouldn't) play this around their children. Thumbs down for Chris Brown!
R.Kelly must be advertising to be explicit king of the world instead of R&B King. Even some females would bug out after hear his last 2 CDs. He comes across as a explicit maniac. Don't get it twisted, R.Kelly is great but you don't want to listen to a R.Kelly cd only focusing on that! Besides Backyard party where are the dance tracks or the inspirational songs not to mention the story-telling love songs. People will buy it but I wouldn't recommend it!
Monica's music used to be fantastic. On code red she seems to be bugging out! She has resorted to cursing on all but 3 songs. She seems to be trying to appeal to the younger crowd just being exposed to her music. Not feeling this cd besides Ocean of Tears, Anchor and Right for Me. I will recommend it because she may be experimenting to gain more fans but Code Red would be great if she kept it the way she used to.
This was my first Justin Bieber CD purchase. I have to say it is a good cd. Most songs sound the same but the lyrical content and the music is good. He seems to be growing up musically. I recommend this cd.
Tyrese always gives his music a variety of topics anyone could enjoy. I like Addict, Shame, Prior to You and the duet with Brandy (The Rest of Our Life) It is definitely worth a listen.
