This is a neat remote controlled robot according to the hype surrounding it. And truth be told, it could be... if.... IF .... you get one that actually works properly.
My first R2Q5 wouldn't charge properly. There was no indication anywhere on the robot that it was charging. So, I went back to the store I purchased it from and had a horrible experience with Best Buy's customer service simply trying to get an even exchange. A customer service manager got involved and finally managed to straighten out the exchange. That in of itself really shows how poor the customer service has become at Best Buy when a manager has to get involved for something as simple as an even exchange.
The second robot I got does charge properly. I noticed that a small light is near the charging port, something I did not see on my first robot. It glows orange when charging, then green when it's fully charged. I think Sphero should have thrown in some animation on the robot to show it's charging, like they did with BB8 when it's charging properly.
The app controlling the droid what I would call merely ok. I would have liked to have seen a battery measure on the app showing how much charge is left on the robot before a recharge is necessary. If I missed finding that in the app, let me know for my future reference.
R2Q5 also seems like it's a bit unbalanced when it's moving around. I think perhaps it may be a design fault that the robot has, I don't know.
The price on the robot is crazy at over $100+. I bought this on clearance for $49.99 before sales tax but even at that price point I feel it's still too high. I guess Best Buy can charge what they want for this particular robot as it's their exclusive.
So overall, I'd have to say I'm less than impressed. To be fair, I suppose it's just an average remote controlled novelty with its various boops, beeps and other noises it makes and nothing more beyond that, much like the previous BB8 robot.
And yes, I would recommend getting an extended warranty on it should you decide to buy it. Why? There's no way to replace the rechargeable battery on this item so once it quits holding a charge, you have nothing more than a paperweight. Also, the tracks on R2Q5 appear to be made from a very thin type of rubber so once they break that also may not be reparable. Keep those things in mind along with the poor customer service at Best Buy when making your decision on buying this product for yourself.

The steelbook for this movie looks nice. I like how the insignia stands out on the front.
The movie itself looks good for the most part on Blu-Ray with the exception of a few areas (notably the opening credits) where the color palette looked washed out but overall I was pleased. Sound is ok but I found myself wishing there was a DTS-HD audio track instead of Dolby TrueHD.
Overall, I feel this is a good purchase for fans of this interpretation of Batman. Buy it, especially if you find it on sale in stores or online.

This was a fun entertaining film that came out in the late '90's. I had this on DVD and was curious as to how good it would look on Blu-Ray so I decided to purchase it.
I was surprised that the visual effects involving the volcanic eruptions looked as good as they do on Blu-ray for a film just over 20 years old. The DTS-HD audio also sounds great on my home theater system. The overall picture quality during the course of the movie also looks much better than the DVD.
If you haven't seen the film, it's definitely worth picking up on blu-ray. I've watched this film many times and enjoy it each time I see it.
The complete third season of The CW superhero series The Flash, following Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) and his blinding speed as he continues to ward off enemies in Central city. All 23 episodes of the third season are included, as well as bonus features and deleted scenes.

This is going to be a double review for both The Flash season 3 and Arrow season 5. My feelings on both shows equate each other at this point.
I've had enough of both of these shows. I’ve become bored with the wash rinse and repeat predictable plotline formulas that The Flash and Arrow shows have taken. Every season it seems that there is some super evil anonymous villain that comes out of the woodwork to cause havoc over the course of a season and then at the end of the season the good guys win. In Arrow’s case, it’s demonic in nature or in Flash’s case, yet another speedster.
I remember the Amazing Spider-Man show that aired on CBS back in the 70’s always introduced a villain or a crisis that was dealt with by the end of the episode or was contained to two episodes. The background of said villain was always different and it was never someone with super powers, rather just good intellect to give Spider-Man a challenge. That was true comic book live action TV for me, not this lazy formulaic BS approach that I see on The Flash and Arrow.
I’m just glad I got the current blu-ray boxsets for Arrow and The Flash at a reduced price at Best Buy. At this point I doubt I’m going to continue getting the boxsets at any price because I'm tired of seeing the same formula being repeated over and over ad nauseum.
The Green Arrow continues his quest to keep Starling City safe in this fifth season of the TV show based on the DC Comics superhero. Playboy billionaire Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) has been elected mayor, but the city still needs his secret identity as the Green Arrow. Can he balance a life devoted to law-abiding change with his secret vigilante identity? All 24 episodes in one Blu-ray collection.

I picked this up during a Black Friday promotional through the Best Buy website. I had only seen bits and pieces of the first film on TV so I was pretty much clueless about how the second and third films would turn out.
I haven't had time to see the third film in the franchise just yet but I did like the first film quite a bit, while I felt the second film left a lot to be desired.

The shot of an F18 flying on a collision course into the alien spacecraft weapon is wonderfully represented here. This steelbook can be had for a very affordable price ($7.99 when I last checked on the date of this review) so if you haven't upgraded this film to Blu-ray in your library, now is a good time to do so.

If you're a child of the 70's like me, then you undoubtedly remember this show. Each week we'd tune in to see the next chapter of the Galactica saga as it searched for the fabled 13th colony located on planet called Earth.
Both the original Battlestar Galactica series and the follow-up show, Galactica 1980, are included in this set. The 1979 theatrical movie isn't included in this boxset but can be found on Blu-ray for a cheap price separately or you can buy "The Definitive Collection" and it's included in that boxset.
Unfortunately the blu-ray presentation of the series left a lot to be desired in my opinion. The graininess of the episodes was very evident in so many scenes I lost count. However, I was glad to have the series in the more modern 16x9 format, hence my choosing this boxset over the "Definitive Collection" as I had no interest in seeing the episodes in the 4x3 broadcast format. Some of the episodes that were originally broadcast separately (War Of The Gods, Saga Of A Star World) have been molded together as one long episode too.
I did find myself wishing that Universal had cleaned up the images a bit better and perhaps even tweaked the special effects like Paramount did with the original Star Trek series years ago. In spite of the shortcomings, I still recommend the purchase of the set.

I saw this film in theaters back when I was a student in college. I liked the story enough that I also purchased the board game produced by Milton Bradley when it was in stores back in 1995. If you haven't seen it, it's definitely worth watching. For those who haven't seen it on Blu-ray, the effects hold up reasonably well.
The steelbook is a replica of the Jumanji board game prop as seen in the film. This is definitely worth picking up before it's no longer available.
