Easy to assemble , when attached to the wall it is very sturdy.Looks very nice and holds hundreds of dvd's and blu-rays . I have a lot of dvd's and still room for hundreds more.

In November I purchased the xbr55x850b from Best Buy and was so impressed I purchased the xbr65x850b this month .Both TV's upscale 1080i from the cable ,bluray & dvd movies really well.I also own a Sony 4k upscaling bluray player & a Denon 4k passthrough receiver. When I play bluray movies, most make the tv show it is in 4k due to the upscaling from the bluray player. I don't think bluray movies could be any clearer.Most cable channels are very clear,almost 4k like. All depends on the quality of the program being broadcast. However I wouldn't purchase this model if your looking for good 3d.This model has many reported issues with 3d.The 3d on both my TV's aren't good either. That being said if your looking for an excellent 4k tv, this is certainly the one. The 4k upscaling & Triluminos display are breathtaking. And 4k on Netflix & youtube look unreal .I used my Disney Wow disk to calibrate my tv and here are the settings that worked best for me.Scene select -Cinema Picture mode - Cinema1 Back light - 6 Picture-98 Brightness -52 Color -46 Hue -0 Color temp -neutral Sharpness -53 Noise reduction -Auto Mpeg noise reduction -off Dot noise reduction -Auto Reality creation -Auto Mastered in 4k -on Resolution -20 Noise filtering -min Smooth graduation -low Motion flow -standard Cinemotion -Auto

The difference in clarity due to the upscaling processor compaired to my plasma TV's is like night & day.I don't even watch the plasmas anymore.I highly recommend this tv in both the 55 & 65" models.I would give it 5 stars if it wasn't for the 3d issue.

Purchased the Sony xbr55x850b back in December.Then in March purchased the Denon 4k passthru receiver.At first I figured,why buy a 4k upscaling bluray player,because my tv upscales to near 4k.Seemed like it would be a waist of money.But i was wrong.I purchased this 4k upscaling blu-ray player & hooked it up to my Sony 4k tv.Played The Hobbit battle of the 5 armies on blu-ray and for the first time since I owned this tv,as soon as the blu-ray started,the 4k upscaling from the player made the tv show the movie was in 2160P.The picture was as clear as could be.Better than my previous bluray player I was using.The upscaling of both the blu-ray player & the tv compliment each other.It appears there is an an advantage to upscaling the bluray twice.Glad I purchased this upscaling player

First I would like to commend Best Buy Century 3 in Pleasant Hills Pa for their customer service. I originally purchased the Samsung un6950fxza 4k tv,but found out it only had a native refresh rate of 60 hz. not 120 like originally advertised. By the way the Samsung unhu7250 curved tv is only 60 hz too ,not 120 as advertized. I returned the Samsung the following week for the Sony 4k because it is 120 hz. native refresh rate, has 3d, and was on sale for 1599.99,I also had a 10% off coupon for the Samsung tv when I purchased it , and they gave me the 10% off on the Sony even though I no longer had a coupon. The next week after buying the Sony , the price was reduced again to $1499.99.They said just bring in the receipt and they will discount the tv to 1499.99 and give me the 10% off that price. What better service could you ask for.Now for the tv.This tv upscales so well on almost everything,I can't imagine true 4k broadcast being much better.No motion issues with hockey or football ,and I don't think blu-ray movies could look any clearer. The picture settings were pretty good from the factory and required very little adjustment.I used my Disney WOW disk to calibrate the picture settings and here are the results that worked well for me.Picture Mode-custom Backiight-7 Picture- 98 Brightness-50 Resolution-65 Color-44 Hue-0 Color Temperature-Neutral Sharpness-55 Noise Reduction -Auto MPEG noise reduction-off Dot noise reduction-auto Noise filtering-20 smooth graduation-low motion flow-standard cinemotion-auto. This is an unknown movie that you will really enjoy.We have watched it several times over the years on vhs,because untill now it wasn't available on dvd.We wore out the vhs tape from use & the age of the tape.When we saw it was now available on dvd we ordered it right away.Fun beach movie to watch.Two thumbs up!!!
What's great about it: Funny & entertaining movie with a good story line
What's not so great: nothing

I want to love this tv but the motion judder is really annoying. It happens from different sources whether it's the tvs own internal apps like Netflix/Hulu Plus or blu Ray movie played on PS4 . I tried everything I could think of ... Switching off motionflow , different motionflow settings ... Other settings but nothing works even bought another set and still happens on that one as well.... How come there is so many positive reviews and no one seems to be having this problem (tv connected directly Ethernet and have 50+ Mbps ). Please someone help I'm about to give up and just return to store.

Very little.A few things on Netflix and some on you tube. But this tv upscales 1080 I/p and Blu-ray so well it's scary.I can't imagine true 4k looking much better.

Will this TV upscale streaming content and Blu-ray to Ultra HD quality?
I found it to upscale Blu-ray very well.As for 1080 I on cable,it up scales most channels very well some not so much.All depends the quality of the original source
