There's three Doctors, what more do you need. The give and take between Troughton and Pertwee was brilliant. It was sad that Hartnell because of health issues could not do more, but his contribution was appreciated. You learn about that in the special features. Add some UNIT fireworks.
This collection of some of the very first Doctor Who adventures from 1963 and 1964 star William Hartnell as the Doctor, as he and his companions as they visit prehistoric times, witness the terror of Daleks, and more.
In terms of historic interest, the first three stories of Doctor Who has to be there. The first episode of The Unearthly Child was brilliantly acted. The Daleks introduced the Doctor's main enemy and cemented its future. Edge of Destruction to me is a letdown, not well acted nor written.
