Excellent choice for a 50" HDTV

This is an awesome TV. It has a great picture and plenty of inputs. The only thing that I don't particularly like is that the speakers are on the back, which is common for these thin TV's. The sound projects too much to the rear. I bought a Vizio sound bar to put in front of the TV and turned off the TV sound. It works great. When the TV and sound bar are on the same surface, the sound bar will block the bottom of the TV. There are new style sound stands to remedy this problem, but they can be expensive, up to $300. I opted to keep the $100 sound bar and raise the TV up on a decorative wooden box. It's a great setup that looks and sounds awesome.
