Saw this in the theater and the extended cut was just as much fun. The soundtrack really adds to the movie and the introduction of the characters as an extra insight to the character.
Wish there were a few more references to the original but still love the line "If God didn't want them sheared, He wouldn't have made them sheep." Great cast, entertaining, just as good as the original.
Never played the video game prior to seeing the movie but that didn't matter, the movie filled the viewer in on the history. Lots of action, great fight scenes, all around fun movie to watch.
They saved the best for last... Was great seeing Robin Williams & Mickey Rooney one last time on the screen. Will miss them both! Hopefully they'll carry on with the movies like the books. But understand if they don't- Williams is one you could never replace.
This high-octane, frenzied collection contains all four action films in the Mad Max series, including the fourth installment, Mad Max: Fury Road, starring Tom Hardy, Charlize Theron and Nicholas Hoult. The first three installments are included this compilation, including Mad Max, Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior, and Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome, all starring Mel Gibson. Each film included also includes a wide range of special features, including director commentaries, behind-the-scenes featurettes, and deleted scenes from Mad Max: Fury Road.
The Mad Max Anthology as a whole is very good. You start with learning about Max, his tragic loss of his family and his quest for vengeance. Then we see the Road Warrior and his quest for survival. Thirdly, Max and his quest to find his place in the world. Finally, we find Max and his quest for redemption as he reluctantly helps those who cross his path. Fury Road is by far the best of the bunch and one wild ride from the start of the engine to the rolling of the credits.
First film to show how close a tank crew really is. Loved watching the last fully functioning Tiger tank (sometimes CGI & model shell) doing what it did best, destroy opposing tanks.
