first one never worked; trying again

Bought this with the intention of syncing 2 go-pros together but never got the first one to even charge up, so I had to exchange it for a new one and I haven't tried it yet. I'm giving this 3 stars because it has the potential to really be helpful IF I can ever get it to keep a charge.
I also own the original remote go-pro made (purchased about 3 years ago with my hero 3) but wanted to replace it with this one... I hope the battery in this one lasts longer than that one does, which never lasts more than 15 minutes...
