The headphones have a very simple yet classic design. The headband is a single piece of metal wrapped with leather on top and cushion and fabric inside. The headband is fused to the hinges that hold the earcups, with exposed cables. The earcups are plastic with a polished metal cover. The inside is a very comfortably cushioned leather and fabric.
Sound isolation is very good. People around you can hear the music but does a good job of isolating ambient noise. Note that the earcups are not replaceable.
Controls: There are three controls: Volume up/down and a multi-function that works for play/stop/next/back/on/off depending on how it's pressed. -- Pairing and full reset is by holding the + and - simultaneously. There is no NFC nor voice prompts.
There is a single color-changing LED (That's off during normal use, so it's not distracting), audio-in and micro-USB for charging. The audio-in works without battery power.
Sound quality: Overall, it produces a very neutral and clear sound. If you're planning on using the headphones with an iOS or Android phone, there's an App 'Beoplay' that checks for firmware updates on the headphones as well as an equalizer that's very intuitive and simple to use. In my particular preference, the default was a bit more muted and bass heavy than I'd preferred, but the EQ made it a lot better.
The headphones support the Bluetooth AAC codec, and the audio quality with my iPhone was about the same as with a wired connection.
Bluetooth range is excellent. No drops three rooms away from the phone. Once the headphone is paired, the connection when powering on is very quick.
Microphone for voice calls is good. I tested making voice recordings and recordings were very clear.
A drawback is that to turn it off, one has to press the multi-function button for several seconds. The phone will first trigger Siri, start listening and then the headphones eventually turn off. The headphones also turn off after 15 minutes or so of no use.
Battery easily lasts all day. Rated for 19 hours when new. I was disappointed that there was no carrying case included with the headphones.
To resume Pros: • Clear and balanced sound • Very comfortable to wear • Classic simple design • Lightweight • Long range BT with AAC support • 2 years warranty Cons: • No carrying case • Difficult to turn off • No replaceable ear cushions • Non-replaceable Li-Ion battery

The cable is built well. I had good experiences with Kanex brand products, and this cable is Apple certified. Be aware that this cable is about 9 ft long. I got it to use as a charging cable on a sofa, but even in this case it's a bit too long. Because it's long, it's also very thick. By far the thickest lightning cable in use. Because it's thick it's also not very flexible, and also it should be more durable than Apple cables

Solid printer for low-volume applications like home-office. Printer arrived very well packed, and includes ink. Does not include USB cable (Which isn't needed). When first turns on, follow the instructions on its color screen. In my case, connected it via ethernet cable to a home router nearby. It also supports Wi-Fi. Then the menu walks through fax settings etc. The printer can be configured from its own screen and buttons or via its web page. It supports AirPrint and there are also apps to use its scanner from a phone or tablet. Windows 10 doesn't need drivers to print. Windows 7 needs drivers, but I was pleasantly surprised that there is only one download from the Epson web site is all that's required, which installs print, fax and scanner tools. There is a 'Combo driver' available for Windows 10 and macOS with additional functionality as well, Besides AirPrint, it also supports google print and email to print and scanner cloud, as well as scanning to USB and memory cards. The memory card slots on the printer, by default are configured to appear as a network driver (this can be changed), which can be useful in some cases. ADF supports dual-sided scanning, as well as printing on both sides. Buttons are well laid out, and have a solid feel. It's color screen is a bit small but it works well for what it is, and at this price point, nothing to complain about.
The printer uses three color cartridges and one black. A reason for choosing this instead of 'photo' printers is the expectation that using 4 cartridges instead of 6 or so for photo printers would be cheaper in the long run. Print quality is fine. Nothing special, and nothing to complain about. we use it for normal household printing, including young kids and their projects. This model has been sold since 2014, and Epson keeps updating its firmware. At some point during installation, the printer found a new firmware (From 2017) and asked to install it. (on its own, without a computer). This attests to be a solid workhorse. Had it for about a month with no issues.

Grill is relatively small, good for one or two portions at a time. Grilling any meats or vegetables does produce smoke from the food itself, there's no way around it. However this grill keeps the grease pan relatively cold so it does not keep on searing the oils and grease on the tray. The heating elements are recessed on the sides and covered by a glass. A steak takes about 18 minutes (thick cut, medium temperature). Heat seems consistent around the edges. Vegetables produce almost no smoke, a lean beef cut produces some smoke and a sausage would produce a bit more smoke. However it is actually a lot less smoke than cooking a beef on the stove. Cleaning is relatively quick. The grill top is solid aluminum (coated black) and the grease pan is deep enough to handle with ease. It slides to one side. The side panels are not removable, so it's impossible to keep perfectly clean, but it's simple to clean well enough so it doesn't grease up with moist paper towels. The grill and pans are dishwasher safe, but it's simpler to just rinse them with dish soap and hot water. It would've been better if the inside walls of the grill were removable. It comes with simple instructions and a recipe book. The only control on the switch is off/warming/on.
So it's simple to use, lightweight, doesn't produce a lot of smoke, cooks consistently and is easy to clean most of it.

We have several vacuums at home: Cordless sticks, corded and cordless uprights, shop vacs and some in between. They're all great, but none of them does the work for you. This is our first, and likely not the last robo vac. The point of these is to help in daily cleaning (or every other day). With this model, every Roomba they sell can be optionally controlled via WiFi from a phone (or from Amazon Echo or Google assistant). This is the entry-level model, so the price is more accessible. Other models have better cleaning brushes/suction, bigger dust bins and the top models actually create a map of the house so it doesn't keep on bumping info furniture. Besides the top model, this works by navigating in seemingly random patterns, and has some sensors to either slow down or more or less gently tap furniture and turns away. The cleaning cycle takes one hour. At the end of the cycle, it eventually finds its way back into its charging base and goes back to charge on its own. Interesting to watch the first time. We live in a mid-size house and we used the vacuum in two levels. This vacuum will cover the whole level. The first time we let it loose in the bedrooms, it did a pretty good job at cleaning under the beds, which is always a pain with other vacuums, and went under other furniture without getting stuck. On the main level, it did pretty good also, but it doesn't sense chairs very well so it ends up gently bumping into them. It has not scratched anything (the bumper works very well), the bristles are very gentle on the hardwood floor and hasn't toppled anything. It comes with a 'virtual wall', which is a tiny plastic lighthouse that signals areas that are blocked to the vacuum (the vacuum won't cross that invisible line). The lighthouse can be set to either a line or a perimeter. We're using it to block a playroom, which always has little toys on the floor… Additional light walls or chargers can be purchased separately.
It's very easy to clean but the dustbin is rather small, so keep in mind you'll end up emptying frequently. It also comes with an additional dust filter. Not sure how often to replace, they look like they can last a long time.
Also, it works with both Amazon Echo (Alexa) and Google Home, to start or stop cleaning schedules. The phone app can be used to program weekly schedules, check on progress, etc. Note: This modes does not 'map' the house, so the app does not show a 'cleaning map'. Only the top models do that.
Keep in mind, specially if you have kids or pets, to avoid leaving things like toys, papers, etc. on the floor, or limit the areas where it can wander to.
In all, very happy with the new Roomba. We'll likely get another to have on each floor.

Often switch between Mac and Windows laptops, and was looking for a portable, Bluetooth mouse with rechargeable mouse. Then this came along, and it's almost perfect for what I needed, except… This mouse utilizes a newer version of Bluetooth called 'Bluetooth LE' (Also called Bluetooth Smart or simple BLE), which utilizes very little power on itself so batteries last a lot longer, and here's the problem: The Mac I'm using is a mid-2012 that does support Bluetooth 4.0 but for some reason cannot pair with this mouse. For now I'm using the USB adapter that comes with it (USB Unifying Receiver), which, when connected makes the computer see the mouse and similarly connected keyboard like a wired USB device. This way worked perfectly and right away. Another computer I use is a new Windows 10 laptop, which connected right away with Bluetooth, and has no issues, so beware if you plan on using Bluetooth and have a slightly older laptop.
The mouse itself works great. Works on clear glass or any other surface. Clicking feels right. Has side buttons and side scrolling on the wheel. What's different is that clicking on the wheel sets it in either step click or free scrolling. There is no middle button when clicking on the wheel; Instead the middle button is behind the wheel and a bit hard to reach (or until I get used to it). The wheel is made of metal with a rubberized center and has a certain quality feeling to it. The mouse is light but has good weight on the back of it, so it feels solid when used. The mouse can connect to three computers simultaneously (when using the Logitech Options driver) or has a button on the back that pressing it switches between the three devices, be either Bluetooth LE or the USB receiver(s). The reconnection on either BLE or USB when switching or powering on is almost instant. Rarely seen a Bluetooth device reconnect so quickly. Mouse can be use while recharging (USB Cable included) and charged completely in about 1 hour. When turning it on, a single light behind the scroll wheel indicates the level of charge (which goes dark after a few seconds).
Software driver: The "Logitech Options" software is optional but it offers a very neat trick: It works with Logitech keyboards and/or mouse that supports what they call 'flow': All the computers that use the same mouse and/or keyboard, when used at the same time communicate with each other through this software (and Wi-Fi or Ethernet), which makes the mouse switch computers when crossing a (defined) corner on the screen, literally making them work like a single computer (The connection indicator on the mouse automatically changes to the active computer). Also the clipboard can be set to be shared between them, regardless of running either macOS or Windows. The clipboard is shared over Wi-Fi, and copying either images or text works fine.

I've been using Eneloop for about 10 years. Initially made by Sanyo and now Panasonic owns it. Never had issues with these. These last generation hold more charge and remain charged for months. Use them on anything from remote controls, kids toothbrushes, electronic locks, keyboard/mouse and toys. Unlike other brands, these can be re-charged for years without loosing much capacity.

Spent a few hours with my kids (7 and 9 ys/old girls) who enjoyed the physics/sounds experiments and completed it by promptly building the speaker.
It's an interesting product. There are two parts to it: The first is a science project on how electro magnets and permanent magnets work together to generate sound. Note that it requires an iOS device (iPhone or iPad) to go though the educational steps - It doesn't work with Android, although the speaker should work fine as a standard Bluetooth. First, walks out kids and parent to plug into the wall adapter and pair the sound controller via Bluetooth to an iPhone or iPad. Then it goes through a series of fun experiments like a 'magnet launcher' until kids are able to generate sounds via a magnet and coil provided. Then it goes to explain how sound is generated, including a series of videos made by a pair of engineers at Bose, until kids are able to play a somewhat decent audio from their experiment, building a paper speaker. Finally, the app walks through putting together the real speaker, which is the second part of the project. The speaker itself sounds surprisingly well. It's a real Bose speaker, very capable with decent bass and overall very clear and loud sound. The cube is made of plastic translucent walls held together by clips. Then the kids finish the project by picking from a pack of paper covers with different patterns of their choice, or from a grid paper that's easy for kids to form into patterns of their choice.
Some considerations: The plastic clips give away that is a science project. If they had a more seamless way of holding the cube together might look better. Also the thin plastic and paper covers while a nice touch might not be durable long term (Although it holds up just fine, we're planning on leaving the speaker on a shelf). The cube can change colors with a button and a slider, or can play a rainbow or colors or follow the music, with the lights off when there is no music, except for a white BT indicator on the rear. The BT pairing is simple, and through the app can control the lights as well, but there is no way of controlling the lights from the phone/tablet once the project app is complete, so it's done from the buttons on the back of the cube. It can remember several devices, and can pair to two BT devices at the same time. There is no battery, it has to remain plugged in. A battery option would've been nice.
It feels that it was built by engineers who genuinely wanted to teach kids in a fan way, and it shows in every aspect of the speaker, from its looks, to the detailed and fun explanations and activity to the surprisingly good sound.
Listen to music hands-free with this LG wireless headset. It lets you answer or ignore a call with voice commands, and the wireless earbuds charge when they're resting inside the neckband, ensuring they're ready for use. The neckband of this LG wireless headset provides vibration alerts for incoming calls and texts, so you'll never miss a message.

I was looking forward enjoying these but I cannot recommend them at any price. There are many issues with this.
The headphones are, as stated, truly wireless. The left earpiece is the 'primary' that pairs to the phone, and connects with the neckband and the right earpiece. The neckband, which is quite large and weights 2 oz, serves as a charging station and can be set to vibrate when receiving a call. It seems it can give the headphones a full additional charge. LG sells an additional charging base so the neckband wouldn't be necessary but it's not included in the package. There is a single control button on either earpiece, which perform different functions with single or double clicks. There is no volume control (it has to be done from the phone), and there is no way to skip back songs, but it can skip forward with a double click. Only the left earpiece can trigger BT pairing, so keep it in mind.
Sound: It sounds just OK. It's programmed to be bass-heavy and can be changed by installing an app (Android and iOS) for a more natural sound or more treble. The sound is natural and acceptable bass but doesn't have depth. Higher tones sound distorted and metallic. Honestly, a pair of BT headphones I got last year for $ 10 sound actually a lot better than these. For audio (podcasts) the audio is fine, but for any type of music from jazz, instrumental or pop, the treble sounds are problematic. For phone calls, it has a single microphone and sounds horrible. Use them with an iPhone and Siri could not understand me well enough. Bad sign. So I used the app that's available for these to record a voice note. The result sounded distant, noisy and with some amount of echo, so it wouldn't be good for voice calls.
Fit: The neckband feels like a large horseshoe and at 2 oz, it can be felt around the neck. Two sizes of earplugs are included in the box. I usually wear small or medium, but the smaller wouldn't fit right. The earpieces have an unusually large prong and then then all the weight of the earpiece is hanging from the ear, so they constantly fall, even when sitting still, and keep on trying to adjust it but inevitably gets loose and falls, plus hang off the ear in an odd position, sticking out. When the earpieces are plugged into the neckband, they stay secure and start charging.
Bluetooth: Being disappointed with the sound with an iPhone, I then paired it with a new Sony receiver that supports NFC pairing, APTX and LDAC. The headphones only support SBC, so keep audio expectations in check. It connects via BT 4.2 and LE (for notifications). The Bluetooth range is excellent. I can walk two rooms away from the phone without issue.
So there are many cons to recommend these to anyone: Audio is not good enough, the neckband is too large and unnecessary. It would've been better for me to include the charging dock instead. Unless you have large ears and large ear canals, fit will likely be an issue. They stick out too much and fall off, without anything to hold them in case they fall.
Add stability to your home network with the Amped Wireless HELIOS-EX Wi-Fi Extender. With DirectLink technology, it avoids signal loss by adding another 5GHz Wi-Fi channel to the standard setup, which it then uses strictly for receiving signal from the source. What this product is: It extends Wi-Fi networks, by using a dedicated radio to connect to an existing Wi-Fi router. Then it creates a new Wi-Fi network (The extended network) with a separate radio for 5 GHz network and a 2.4 GHz network, using the same IP network from the upstream router (i.e. It is not a flat IP network with multiple Wi-Fi networks).
What this product is not: It's not a router (i.e. it needs an existing Wi-Fi network) and it's not an access point (i.e. it cannot connect over Ethernet to an existing network, only over Wi-Fi).
The hardware is nice: The three Wi-Fi antennas are removable. The enclosure has a nice patterned finish, and can either lay flat on vertical with the included pedestal, which I'd suggest to use because it generates some heat and has vents on both sides. It has some very bright lights on the front, which change color depending on the status (but thankfully, do not blink). Lights are very bright but recessed, and has a physical switch to turn the status lights on or off. Very nice. It has a power switch push button, and five gigabit ports to connect PCs, printers, media players, etc. Also has an USB 3.0 to use as a file server, with an external hard drive or USB stick.
Radios: The 5 GHz radio has configurable channel widths of 80/40/20. (Some few last-gen routers have 160 MHz channels, but are still very rare). Lots of advanced, low level settings for wireless that are set correctly set by default: TxBeanforming enabled with MU-MIMO disabled, etc. Very detailed settings for radio power, channels can be left to auto of statically set. The comprehensiveness of the radio options are something I rarely see on home network gear. For the novice can be confusing, but the default values are OK, so if you don't know, leave it as is and should work fine. For the upstream home network, by default locks into specific channels from the upstream router. It can manually set to auto. Supports multiple guest networks, that can be separated between 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz radios, with different IDs and permissions. It also has some basic scheduling. Doesn't support VLANs but supports spanning tree (for business routers), and supports Radius for Wi-Fi authentication (Business use).
This range extender is unique because it has a dedicate radio for upstream connectivity, so bridging does not materially degrade speed as with other extenders.
The range of the Wi-Fi signal is excellent. It covers a medium sized house with two floors by itself with no issue.
However, there are some peculiarities that can be a deal breaker for some: First, the network SSID (The name of the Wi-Fi network) has to be different than of the main router. I find this to be a real caveat because one has to remember to configure every Wi-Fi device with the new network ID, and walking around the house with a PC, phone or tablet, they will try to hold onto the already connected SSID instead of jumping to the closer access point. I tried to manually rename the extended network, while locking on a channel on the home router, and it ended up creating a network loop and had to factory-reset the extender to get it back. I think many buyers won't be aware of this issue until purchased. Another major issue is that while this is a Wi-Fi extender and works well as that, it cannot easily be set as an access point by connecting it to Ethernet, if needs change. A minor issue that is also common with other routers is that the file sharing cannot be disabled, even with nothing connected to the USB port. It's constantly advertising itself as a file service although it can't do it.

If this works with Nest system will it work with Ecobee* system? I We decided against the Nest system due to the class action suits regarding house fires. I would love to add this to our home.
No, unlike the Echo, it does not integrate directly with Ecobee. It supports Samsung SmartThings, so that could be a way, or via IFTTT.com is another way of integrating with Ecobee, but not directly today.

Can you ask Google Home to retrieve local phone numbers? We're considering one for elderly parents and were hoping it could help them answer simple frequent questions.
Yes, it provides phone numbers like when searching on a computer. For example, asking it for the phone number of a local pizza place will provide the number along with some other information. It won't dial any phone though.

Yes, it works like Google Translate. You have to tell it to translate between languages every time though. so not good for carrying conversation but good enough to ask it for phrases.

No, but look into integrating it with a Samsung SmartThings that can control locks and can be controlled by both Amazon Echo and Google Assistant. However be aware that it doesn't recognize who's talking so it will open the door to anyone that knows how to ask
