This isn't Judd Apatow's strongest film by far, but it's certainly not his worst work (see Drillbit Taylor if you're looking for his worst). It's a fun watch, and it's easy to view multiple times.
Yes, this is a Kevin Smith film. No, it is not the standard Smith comedy. This was quite different. This is a very entertaining jump in a different direction. It won't be your new favorite horror, your new favorite comedy, or your new favorite Smith film, but don't pass it up.
I've never been a big fan of the Omen series, but I am a film collector and this was only $10. While the "creepy child" horror can be entertaining, I always thought the Omen series was a little lackluster.
As far as remakes go, they're always hit-or-miss. The remake of The Hills Have Eyes is incredibly entertaining. THHE 2 isn't quite as good, but when compared to the original THHE 2, it's great.
This film starts off feeling very similar to the remake of Dawn of the Dead, but quickly turns into a 28 Days Later feeling film. It was very entertaining. If you're a fan of the zombie genre, specifically 28 Days Later, pick this up.
Much like 2-5, Wrong Turn 6 is filled with ridiculous and over the top gore, and it's exactly what you'd expect from yet another installment of the series. The best part about this film is that you could watch it having never seen a previous Wrong Turn, and it wouldn't feel like you've missed anything. This could easily be a standalone title instead of a sequel. And the blu-ray has a special feature that revisits every kill from every film, which is awesome!
