This is a classic film of the 70's. It uses some techniques that were popular for films of the time period (I'm glad they no longer use some of them, but if you have to see them, at least it is in a good film). The story is compelling, but be ready for a cerebral adventure -- this is not a modern action adventure. I highly recommend this as one of the few really good commercial films coming out of the 1970's.
The Godfather collection is a great set of classic films. There are a variety of opinions about which are the good films in the collection and just how bad the bad one is. However, it's a collection as originally presented, and for classic film buffs its a must-see in its entirety. This is a good quality product for that purpose.
The Caine Mutiny is a favorite of mine in both film and book format. This movie does not disappoint. The story is compelling and the acting is outstanding. It's a classic for a reason.
Let's start with the basis that I'm a fan, and unless they really screw it up, I'm going to give 5 stars. In this case, they didn't screw it up, but I didn't enjoy it as much as its predecessor. It lacked the big, surprising conflict feel of the first. It did however hold my attention and interest. I did feel that it continued the building the character relationships.
