You need this adaptor for pre-wired home, works well but should handle a larger wire gauage as the small terminals are hard to work with.

bose speaker wire adaptability

i would like to use my current speaker wire. the adapter looks like its only for the wall, i would like it if could be used away from the wall
you can use it without mounting to wall, can sit behind receiver after connections are made
