The lens is sharp enough on the 5d mark iii. It does have quite a bit of vignette when wide open, which is easily corrected in Lightroom. However, it does have a good amount of fish-eye effect wide open, which causes some serious vertical distortion. Not my absolute best lens, but it's good for the range it covers.

Good blu-Ray, ok streaming

My PS3 died and I needed another Blu-Ray player that could stream internet content. This machine does both. The blu-ray quality is excellent and no complaints so far. The streaming content is good quality, however I find the menus are laggy when using the controller to look through Amazon video or netflix. PS3 was much smoother. It also takes a few to connect to your favorite streaming provider. It has to "download internet content" every time you turn on the player and select a streaming provider. It doesn't take a lot of time, it's just a little annoying.
