I ordered a large (55 inch or larger) from amazon, however the orignial and the replacement were both badly cracked. So I decided to not chance it a third time via USPS/UPS/FedEx etc.
The best buy delivery was on time. The device was unscratched, and the delivery team verfied all was well with the new unit. In addition they took away the old TV! Great service all around.

The Insignia Roku TV has a far better build quality, on the tv unit and remote itself than cheaper competing models from Roku. The picture quality is good. 4k is nice, but for most of us extra pixels and resolutions simply do not matter. I often stream shows from online services, and have to remind my self to change the app's settings to 4k streaming.
If you want a great value, 4k, with the roku ecosystem, this is the tv to get.
The big winner here is the roku smart platform. I have used this new TV more in the past month, than I used the other TV in the past 6 months.

The crew that dropped off my new TV, showed up on time. They dropped off the new tv, and grabbed the old. For $15 (which you can re-coup by keeping you eyes open for price match on your new tv), you can responsibly dispose of a device like an adult. Seems like a no-brainer.

Great for cable management

I use these all over the house to wrangle cables, even on sink counters. The adhesive they use is strong, and firmly stays in place. However, they are not ideal for using in a different location. Meaning that if you pull it off of one surface, it will not stick as firmly on the second surface.

If you want to connect your surface pro 3 or 4, the device has an angled bezel. This adapter is made specifically to fit that bezel. It is you best bet to connect directly from a surface pro to an hdmi tv/monitor. Good build quality. If you do not want this adapter, get a cable that has a protruding or longer display port end. Standard display port cables will not fit due to the angle.

Sends too much data over wifi

The hd picture is great. However the video it sends is often too much data for the other party on the call to receive clearly. Often the other caller simply sees a blank screen. Not worth investing in for constant use, unless you and the person you will mainly be calling have excellent internet connections.

Does an Apple TV work with this?
Yes it does. it would connect to an hdmi input. But aside from the itunes tv and movie shows you could find all of the same apps natively supported on the roku platform. Apps like amazon video and netflix etc. are built in nativly to the roku platform:

Wifi is fine everywhere in the house. I use wifi for netflix and other roku channels. I get initial Netflix or amazon screen fine and when I choose a movie or program I get vertical lines , red and yellow and distortion. Ranges from 1/2 to all of screen
This is likely a flaw in the hardware. I have the same tv, and use 4k on it from time to time in both amazon and netflix, and do not shre your expereince. Does the same occur if you choose 1080p content?

Do you need a 4K HDMI Cable to access the4K resolution on Smart TV apps
No. A digital cable carries a digital signal, it either works or it does not (all or nothing). Further mote, the 4k apps are built into the TV, you need only load them from withing the TV's built in roku os. there is no cable to leverage for the smart apps. For 4k signal from your cable box a standard hdmi cable will be able to carry the signal as long as your cable box has 4k ability.
