Can this be used with a desktop???
I have an HP with a ton of room. I installed an Intel 180GB SSD and am running out of space. You would think the bracket and screw holes for that would fit this drive, but hate to buy it, open the package and find out it doesn't work. Thanks
laptop drive, but with a conversion kit you could make the 2.5" work in a desktop which 3."5 usually; unless of course you have a 2.5" opeing for your desktop already

I Have a HP Pavillion Touchsmart 11" notebook.Will this fit in my laptop?Also i have 8gb Ram installed,and with this hard drive,Will it perform better? or should i get a solid state drive?.....thank you
it should fit most any SATA laptop; I replaced both a Lenovo T410 and in a Sony Vaio laptop hardrives both working fine with no known problems;
performs better than regular HD, but not as well as a SSD this is a cross that is little less expensive than full SSD; works well, but I'm sure a SSD would be faster, but they are smaller storage side amount and more expensive in general.
