Runs concurrently with factory warranty

The device we purchased came with a one year factory warranty. We paid $20 for a two year warranty thinking that we would have a total of three years of warranty on our new device. After the purchase we received an email from Geek Squad that showed our "new extended" warranty was already in effect and would expire two years from the date of purchase. We asked about this several times before we checked out and between the up-sale we were getting for not choosing the five year warranty for only $10 more than the two year $20 warranty we chose instead. The associate did not seem to understand what we were asking and just continued to tell us what was not covered (dropping the TV, getting the TV wet, etc). We went to the store late to purchase the tv because our current tv had just went out so we were trying to get out of the store before 10:00pm and back home as soon as we could. The only reason we went to the store that late was the tv we wanted was on sale just through that day.

I feel like we made a $20 mistake on a $149 TV. Live and learn.

Great TV w/ Roku Built-in

This tv was a replacement for our bedroom tv. We previously had a Roku 3 connected to our tv so setting up this tv was a snap. About the actual tv...great picture quality even at 720 dpi. Super thin and very sturdy legs on each end of the screen. Having three HDMI inputs is great. The Roku style remote will be very foreign to users that have not used one before, but the instruction sheet is great and learning the buttons comes natural.

Think of the TV as a Roku device with a screen and inputs for your cable/sat set top box. Everything is based on the Roku OS (Operating System). Connecting your other devices are easy, especially if they are HDMI. Make sure the devices are connected and powered on and the TV will do the rest.

There are some reviews that mention the TV is not very loud. Our TV is set up in our bedroom where we have a window A/C unit. We have no problems hearing the TV over the A/C unit.

Lastly, the remote has a built-in headphone jack. When you plug in headphones the TV is muted and the sound plays only through the headphones. This combined with a super easy to use sleep timer makes the TV a great device for the night owl that does not want to wake up their significant other.

Losing at least 3 inches of picture on both the left side and right side. Also, on some stations, gaps on top and on the bottom so the actual picture is much less than the 32" availability. Have picture setting on 'zoom'. Any way to correct?

Best answer

Depending on what you are watching will depend on if you get full screen or the wide screen effect. It is how whatever you are watching was originally recorded or broadcast.

Yes you can mount this tv to a wall mount using M4 type of fasteners.

We are subscribed to Roku, but "stick" is in Florida. We are in Michigan. Will be able to use our Roku subscription with this TV in Michigan, without the stick?

I had a Roku 3 before I bought this tv. Once I logged into the Roku portion of the new tv all of my Roku channels downloaded. I did have to go back and login to most of the apps.

One reviewer said subtitles don't work well with this. How is that? Also my mom wants to watch some of her vhs tapes on here. Is there a way for a vhs player to hook up to it? Thanks for any help!

The tv has a standard coax connection so you should be able to connect a VCR without a problem

I was just told that this tv had a built in bluetooth but i dont see it on the specs. ???

I do not see Bluetooth listed anywhere on any menu.

Since this is a Roku enabled TV can you use the app to control the tv?

You can control the Roku functions on the tv. For instance, I have Verizon Fios ( Frontier Communications ) and I can use the Roku app on my iPhone to select the set top box, but I cannot switch channels on the set top box.
