The XBR49 was the replacement to a Panasonic plasma that had lasted 10 years, and will carry on elsewhere on the property. With exceptional color, crisp detail and a ridiculously comprehensive SMART TV palette of viewing options, this TV has totally exceeded my expectations.
I reviewed and 'stalked' this TV for about a year, and it was well worth the wait. Shortly after setup, I followed up with a Yamaha soundbar to really expand the 'real' sound we're being delivered through the cable box.
If you're looking for rich color, there are a lot of options out there, but for the top shelf of TV, it's still Sony.

Honestly haven't intentionally looked. However, I believe I saw a keyboard for the Samsung devices in the 'Samsung Center' at my local Best Buy store. If they share the same micro-USB port for charging and docking, and attachment of accessories, there should be multiple options out there.
