As noted, 2 different radios used with this harness would not work in my 97 BMW, an incompatibility somewhere.

Would not work with my car

Upon installation in my 97 BMW, this radio would not produce sufficient volume, Another brand was tried with the same result, so it appears there may be some incompatibility between modern radios and the amplifier in my 18 year old car.
