Alarm system I have been waiting for

I just set up the Ring Alarm yesterday and so far I am very happy. I already have a Ring doorbell, so getting the alarm from ring was a no-brainier.
The $10 a month monitoring charge that includes camera storage is what really sold me. I was already paying $3 a month for the front door... I looked at some of the competitors, but even the cheaper plan from Simply Safe was more expensive and did not let you use the app.
I chose the $300 kit over the $200 because it provides a better value if you were to buy the extra components a la carte.
Installation has been very easy. The keypads can operate with or without being plugged in. The only negative thing I can say so far, is that the contact sensors are a little bigger than I would prefer.

I had an old iPad 2 which was getting unbearable to use. With the 2017 iPad, it is a no brainer to upgrade. The performance is great, the display is much better than the iPad 2 and it is thinner. My only complaint is that the sound could be better. If you have an old tablet, this is a great upgrade.

Great way to set up a mesh network

I have been interested in setting up a mesh network for a while in my house. It is about 3000 sq ft and I had a few areas where the wifi signal was spotty. I really wasn't keen on the idea of having to throw away my old router and spend $300-$400 to on a mesh system. The MeshPoint let me keep my existing router and have a mesh system at the same time. Now I no longer have dead spots in my house.

I got the TV for the BF price of $250, which was amazingly cheap. Even at the current price of $399, I feel like the TV is a good deal. Is it the best TV in the world, no. But it does have a pretty good picture and the Roku interface works great. My one gripe is that if the TV is off for over an hour it does take a little bit to turn on (20 secs or so).

I have been pretty happy with Microsoft keyboards and mouses in the past and this one continues the streak. The keyboard is comfortable to type with and the mouse works well. My one wish is that the function keys were as wide as the rest of the keyboard. For anyone that is a programmer, function keys are very important.

If you are looking for a nice high end stand for your home theater, I highly recommend this stand. The build quality of the stand is excellent and has plenty of space for all your components. I chose not to install the back panels of the cabinets, because my AV Receiver is a little large.

we have a household mix of PC, Apple and android cell phones, Tablets, Lap tops and Desk tops. Will both be able to access the Ring home security system?
