I previously used Dot as an alarm clock in my bedroom. We recently purchased the Show so I moved Dot to the hallway. My daughter has a hard time reaching one of her lights so I added a Hue bulb in her room and we can turn her light on/off with Dot. I also play music on Dot at night for the kiddos throughout the night. I purchased a few of these as gifts for Christmas and I’m excited to pass them out.

This is our umpteenth Apple purchase. I’ve come to appreciate the simplicity of the setup process. The apps/programs are easy to learn and system is easy to maneuver around. The ease of sharing information between Apple devices is a breeze through the cloud. I appreciate the rechargeable keyboard and mouse as well. Just remember to keep them charged so they don’t run out of juice in the middle of a project.

We previously purchased Echo and Echo Dot. I was excited to purchase the Show to see how it measured up to our other devices. The volume of the Show seems comparable to the Echo but what I appreciate with the Show is the way the lyrics display on the screen like karaoke. I also like the news updates that flash across the screen while Show is in standby mode. I’ve accessed news stories more with the Show than I ever have with the Echo or Dot. The ability to watch YouTube and videos on the Show is another feature I like. I keep Show in the kitchen so I’ve watched videos while cooking. I am very happy with my purchase.

The drawer is great for easy access to snacks and drinks for kids. I keep fruit stored in the drawer and frequently use it throughout the day.
