This is not the fastest Roku, I now own the Roku1, 2 and 3, if you need something fast, definitely do not get this one, go with the Roku3 or 4 instead, however this device works ok, just remember it IS slow, however all apps work, if you have an old TV with no HDMI port this is the one for you too.

This is the best router I have ever owned, period, speed is crazy and very stable with the latest firmware, I have owned the router for over a month so far and the more I use it the more I like it, really I have no complaints about this device.
At times both my parents and I have been streaming 1080p movies, while guests at home have been streaming Netflix and I was uploading another 1080p movie to YouTube, this little monster have managed to serve all that without a single hiccup, I do not regret the $200 plus I spent on this router, I'm very pleased, would recommend to anyone.

If you still have to have Internet service what do I need this thing for I already have a router
If you get this, then you get rid of your router and use this instead which will give you greater speed/range around your house, if you have a Modem/Router convo from you ISP then you go into your Modem/router web interface and disable the Wi-Fi part of it (This is NOT required but recommended) then you will start to connect all your devices to your new Orbi Wi-Fi network in your home that you have created with the Orbi device.

How does it do through concrete floor? And are the satellites hard wired?
My home is totally made out of bricks, go check out my review, I get full bars/speed around my whole property, amazing how Netgear has managed to do this, whatever they do is the right way to do Mesh and this has been the best Wi-Fi I have ever had on this house, I get almost identical speed via Wi-Fi that I get via LAN, the Wireless signal is virtually the same speed I get when connected directly to the router.

I am torn between the Orbi and the Luma systems. The Orbi seems to have the performance edge, however the Luma seems to have a better app interface - specifically parental controls. We have two pre-teens, and this feature is important. Thoughts?
I can't tell you much about the parental controls, only that I'm sure this will improve as newer firmware updates will be introduced with improved features, but when it comes to performance, range and speed, Orbi beats them all! perhaps you can look into an alternate solution for parental controls until the Orbi improves on that field? you could for instance use something like OpenDNS in the Orbi Router instead of the dynamic ones from your ISP? go to www.opendns.com sign up for an account and use their parental controls features instead?
