Coming into Super Mario Odyssey, I was skeptical if it would grip me. I've gotten older and thought I moved past the shine of the franchise; I was wrong.
Super Mario Odyssey has got call backs from a lot of Mario entries be it via levels, enemies, costumes, or abilities. The ability to capture enemies and control them is simple game changer, yet very diverse and smooth.
The story is minimalistic but it gets the job done. The world's you visit are all different and varied as you move with Cappy to rescue the princess and his sister. Each have a distinct theme and mechanics to progress and keep things fresh throughout. There are a ton of collectibles to find on each world as well which are both for progression and purchasing items.
The controls were butter smooth whether I used the joy cons or the pro controller. Controlling Mario has never been so smooth and fun, imo.
The switch has been doing great this year and Super Mario Odyssey around the holidays makes it a no trainer purchase this year.
Only at Best BuyTake your gaming strategy to the next level with this Corsair VOID wireless headset, which features a noise-canceling microphone that makes it simple to lay out your plan of attack, and up to 40' wireless range for flexibility as you play.
Headset has some plastic parts but is constructed well. The ear cups are comfortable on my head and big ears and I can use it for long periods of time.
On PC, it performs wonderfully. The corsair app has a ton of options to tweak. On PS4, you are locked to 50% volume max so that was disappointing.
All in all, for the price I paid it was well worth the experiment.
Match shape-shifting wits against friends in Puyo Puyo Tetris for the Nintendo Switch. It combines everything you love about both puzzle games, and it ups the ante with a Swap mode that lets you switch between board styles. Race against the clock or add in special items to make game play more challenging in Puyo Puyo Tetris.
It's been a long time since I played a Tetris game and even longer for a puyo puyo game.
This title is a lot of fun. You can play the wacky story mode that has a lot of voice acting, play online modes with others or just quick start into whatever mode you want.
Gameplay is smooth, entertaining and fast. There is real quality here and it fits perfectly as a switch game.

These companion Amiibo for the release of Samus Returns are fantastic. Nintendo has really stepped up the quality of recent amiibo and it shows with Samus and the Metroid.
