I was really excited to find this Amiibo at Best Buy. In general, indie games like Shovel Knight don't get a lot of merchandise, so this Amiibo was a must-buy for me. Aside from being a great little statue to commemorate this great classic-inspired game, this Amiibo also unlocks a multiplayer mode for the game on Wii U, which is a TON of fun. Only downside is that Nintendo doesn't seem to want to support the figure, since he's not compatible with any other games.

Now, you can bring your favorite Nintendo characters to life with new amiibo figures. Team up against bad guys, solve challenging puzzles and even Smash the competition in thrilling battles. With Falco, the talented pilot from the Star Fox team, you'll have an ally who carries an air of cool disdain but a furious passion to aid you on your adventures. Jump into the fun-filled, thrilling adventures of your favorite Nintendo Wii U games, including Super Smash Bros. with your favorite Nintendo characters — who can now come to life.

This is another great Amiibo in the Smash Bros. series. His sculpt is really detailed and his paint job is vibrant and sharp. As an added bonus, he looks pretty great sitting next to Fox McCloud, since their poses are pretty complimentary. There's a lot of great little details on this one, from his headset to his holstered gun to his reflector shield, he just looks really cool.

This Amiibo is pretty top notch quality, as far as Amiibo go. Great sculpt, great paint job, and generally a great Pokemon. This is probably one of my favorite in the Smash Bros. series of Amiibo.

Mabel's a fun looking Amiibo. She's well sculpted and her paint job is nice and vibrant, though it's a little odd that these Animal Crossing Amiibo aren't quite the same scale as the other lines, so she's a little small compared to the rest of my collection.

I know the reviews for Fallout 4 have been really favorable, but I found it to be a little too overwhelmingly big, and lacking in direction. The early part of the game gets so bogged down explaining all the custiomization (i.e. customize your character, customize your equipment, customize your camp, customize your power armor, customize your guns.) that it just feels bogged down with extra features that take your attention from the core game. I guess some people really like that, but it's not really what I've come to like about games like Fallout or Elder Scrolls. It is a gorgeous game though, and it plays really well, I just didn't expect this much micro-managing. It's all personal preference I suppose.
