Too Much Glare

The glass design is beautiful and installation literally takes less than a minute. However, glare is a problem to the point that the display is not visible in sunlight. Fix the glare and this would easily be a 5-star add-on.

On paper this is a beautiful device. Unfortunately, functionally, it doesn't measure up. My device reboots itself regularly. I can never get it to display by raising my arm. I'm constantly getting a warning on the device that I've left my phone behind, when it is actually in my pocket on the same side of my body as the watch, indicating a loss of connection. When it does function properly, it does convey quite a bit of information that I would normally have to unlock my phone for.

I use it in...:Small home

After getting the extender setup, it is working perfectly. However completing the setup took additional effort that a non-technical user may have needed assistance with. The steps in the setup are good, but, at least for my device it was assigning a bad subnet mask. The subnet mask -- in basic terms -- allows devices on the same subnet to communicate directly with each other; e.g., the extender and the router. Expecting the setup to work as advertised, I didn't catch this immediately. It wasn't until I started troubleshooting the problem that I realized that the subnet mask wasn't correct. Choosing the option to manually assign an IP corrected the problem.

I purchased and installed the cable and hadn't thought about it since -- until receiving this survey offer, so in guess that means it's a success.

As a disclaimer, I transitioned to the Galaxy S4 from an iPhone 4s; and, additionally, this is my first-android device, and so far I am woefully unimpressed!
I believe that most smartphones on the market will meet most if not all of our basic needs quite nicely. With that, the selling point is the gimmicks and gadgetry that allow us to perform those basic tasks. When the features of this phone are active, the phone takes a serious performance hit, so badly that I actually returned the phone and got a replacement thinking the phone was faulty. The replacement phone doesn't perform much better. The "WOW" features that aided in me deciding to go with the S4 don't always work. Some of the gestures, as stated in the documentation are dependent upon the quality of lighting. Something that would be nice to know before purchase. Other features only work with apps that are coded to recognize them. I expect the list of apps will grow as the phone matures.
The phone is very light, but also feels cheap to the touch due to the plastic cover.
There is good battery life, especially since I have quite a few features enabled.
The ergonomics have a little to be desired. Every time I pick up the phone I accidentally touch the left-side capacitive button and active whatever it controls (mostly menu options) depending on which app I'm running at the time.
S voice activates itself in driving mode every time I'm driving or whenever I'm out walking, regardless how many times I manually set driving mode off. I disabled it -- since I don't particularly care for it -- yesterday and so far no problems. I wanted to delete it, but couldn't.
There is only 16GB of internal storage, which could be enough depending on whether you're a power user or not. I think I have more apps than I actually need and still have ~6GB of storage available. Gamers and videophiles may have a problem with so little space. A micro-SD card slot is available to explore storage by as much as 64GB, but for some reason applications cannot be stored there. Hopefully, that will change in the future as I'd like to leave internal storage for the OS and a minimal number of apps, and store everything else on external storage. I've read that Verizon is releasing a 32GB version.
Being new to android, I accept that there is a learning curve, but I believe in the 21st-century, our technology should be more intuitive; e.g., IOS. I agree that IOS is not nearly as configurable as android; but, except for developers, who needs as many configuration options as there are on an android device. I've had my phone for over a month now, and have gone through every configuration option for the phone and each app that I use regularly multiple times and still have not been able to achieve that "WOW' feeling.

30 feet from service panel?

A small slip of paper in the package says "DO NOT install if not at least 30 feet from service panel."

What does this mean? 30 feet covers most of a normal house.
I'm certain the 30ft distance refers to the length of the cable run vice the wall-to-wall distance; however, if in doubt don't purchase.

How long is the watch band in inches or mm? Will it fit someone with a large wrist?

How large is "large?" My wrist is 9 inches in circumference and I have 3 notches to spare in the wristband.

Do I need special cables to connect to cable tv?
If your converter box has an HDMI output and you have an HDMI TV, you only need the HDMI cable to connect the two. An HDMI interface carries all the signals, audio and video.

My cable won't play sound for some videos but for others it will. Help??

Then, it's not the cable. Take a look at what's going on with the other videos. Does audio play for them through non-HDMI interfaces?

I have this cord and just got a 1080p tv. The tv says that it's only giving me 720p. Any ideas why?

It has nothing to do with the cable. You need to take a look at the settings on your TV, then make sure the broadcast source is in 1080P vice 720p. It's likely a setting on the TV, though.
