This is a great camcorder for anyone pursuing a hobby in filming and the like on a small scale. The video can be taken in a variety of qualities, and its durable and portable (I would know, it held up during a two week trip in Iceland). There are some problems with it, though. The camera function is poor in that the photo quality is bad, the video quality plummets with a negligible change in light, and the camera shutter (in mine at least) can get stuck, as it is manual, though this does not happen often. I would definitely recommend getting this camcorder to any beginners in filming, though.

How many pictures will a 32 gb. chip hold?
That depends largely on the megapixel count of the photos that you're taking. Short answer is a lot. As the megapixel count of your photos increase, so does the amount of space they occupy. But yeah, a lot of photos. And if you have a computer with you, it's easy to back up photos as you go.

Have a cannon powershot s2 is camera. What memory card works best for lots of storage?
There are standard size SD cards and micro sized. They both work equally well, but the micro is smaller. Most micro SD cards come with a converter that allows them to be used in standard SD slots. Its not an issue of which card works best, but rather a storage amount - price comparison between different SD cards, as most data storage operates the same.
