I tried and tried to get a CD player that was solid; had good sound; did not look like a jet dashboard; and that worked and looked like it might last more than 6 months. EUREKA I found it. This Yamaha is great. I wish it also had cassette player but it does not. I would have paid an extra $100 for that. But it looks great, sounds great, easy to operate and is solid. No cheap plastic that bends and warps.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Are the speakers wireless to the AM/FM receiver or are speaker wires included?

The speaker cables are included. They are not very long. I have the unit on a shelf and the speakers are only about 2 inches away from the unit at each side. I suppose they could be a bit further apart, but not much. This unit is much more solid than any other I have recently tried. It is wood and metal. We use it primarily for classical music as well as for radio (again the local classical program). We like it. But the speakers cannot be moved very far apart with the wires included and I don't think it would be too good to try to extend them. Hope this helps.
