The coil-top stove in my townhome went out and needed to be replaced. As I have a very tiny kitchen, with the stove unit against a supporting wall, spending a lot of money did not make any sense. I knew I wanted 2 things: a flat-top, and a low price.
There were a few options, but this stove was the only one in my price point that both comes in white to match my other appliances, and also has hidden oven coils with a steam clean option.
The delivery team was fast, efficient, and courteous. They removed the old stove, installed the new one, and checked that all 4 burners function. I was immediately impressed with how quickly they heat up.
A couple of things you need to know:
1) the heating elements come on and off to maintain the temperature you set the knobs to. This is a pre-programmed timed cycle that starts the moment you turn the knob. If you want to quickly heat your skillet to medium, for example cooking a couple of eggs in the morning, turn the knob to high to keep the element on and then turn it down when the skillet has reached the desired temperature.
2) the oven will smoke the first time you use it. I didn't know this in advance, so I panicked and called my repair man. He said to turn the oven on to 500 or more for 15-20 minutes beyond when it reaches temp. Then shut it off and let it cool. This will burn off the residue that is in the oven from being built and stored. I did that, and the oven has not smoked in the 4 times I've used it since.
