My computer got hit by lightning and affected my ethernet protal. I was told the motherboard would need to be replaced. It was a much less expensive fix.
The only problem I have found is when I come home from travel. I shut all electronics down when on trave and once I bring the computer back up the converter is not automatically connecting my PC to the internet. This could be user error. Maybe I should have clicked some box for it to automatically reconnect.

I bought this item for work. It is a great tool when you need to write a lot of reports. You speak what you want written into the microphone ( I use a headset) and when connected to the computer Dragon Naturally Speaking types it up for you. Proof read and submit report is all I have to do.

Not sure, but I was told it does have a voice recognition feature that records once it hears speaking.

I'm confused. Once you plug the device to your PC, can the USB convert voice to written data to a file on your PC?
No, that requires software. Dragon Naturally Speaking is the software.

can the recorder be rewond to hear what was dictated and then proceed from the last sentence
I dictate my reports and want to be able to rewind the report if I get called away and want to see where I left off is this possible, or If I want to change a sentence can I rewind the recorder and record over what I had said before.

The only items in the box were the voice recorder and 2 batteries. Are there supposed to be other supplied items that come with this voice recorder?
Yes, you need to buy the headset, usb adapter, and conversion software separately. Dragon Naturally speaking. Headset ebay or amazon.com. Only way I could find the headset with two adapter pieces.....see bottom of the recorder. The headset that uses those ports is a much clearer recording.

Does the software include a Web Link? I do not have a CD drive for my 2and1.
