I tried a couple of smaller flat chargers, they seemed to overheat and cut out. This charger does not have that problem. The design is solid, the phone is held in a useable position while charging. I have bought 2 more since buying this one.

Is this TV compatible with Blu Ray
Yes and more, Blu-ray is HD, this TV and other 4K UHD TVs have an upscaling engine which raises the resolution of blu-ray to 4k.
Good value for the price. I also tend to buy extended warranties especially if buying an open box unit, if the mainboard(power supply controller) goes it will cost more than the warranty, of course mainboards don't go often.

Hi, as the late William F. Buckley used to say, "I think not." The device needs an HDMI input on the TV, it comes with a power adapter which has a micro usb connector which plugs into the device to power it. The power adapter plugs into a 110VAC wall socket or power strip, the setup instructions do not indicate that you can use a usb port on the TV to power the device. If the device will allow this, you will need an additional cable which is not provided in the box. In addition, note that unlike Fire TV or VUDU Spark(other streaming devices) this device does not come with a remote, instead you install an app on a phone which becomes the remote.

There are Bluetooth transmitters that plug into stereo jacks.

How do you or where do you purchase books
Kindle Store, I also subscribe to Kindle unlimited and have found several series of books with a single protagonist that I enjoyed as part of my Kindle Unlimited subscription.

Can I use this device for Topographic Maps in PDF Format?
I want a device with long battery life that will display maps and the various layers, in the pdf file, while off grid. I understand the smaller gps units or phones are difficult to use due to the screen size.
I know this E-Reader is somewhat large for a pack. Would this system be a good choice for off grid viewing of pre-downloaded pdf topographic mapping (signal/system permitting via computer or Wi-Fi) or am I on the wrong trail.

I think you will want a color device to display topo maps. Kindle paperwhite is actually small and ideal for a pack, but not color.
