A Non-Horror Zombie Movie

In a time where zombie movies and shows are popping up everywhere, this is a good take the a dramatic side of them. Well-acted and visually dreary, this movie tugs at your heart strings. Don't expect a zombie massacre or apocalypse here, it's just a simple movie about family and loss.

Short but Sweet

With less bands releasing full albums these days, now focusing on putting our a song or two sporadically, I guess an EP is better than nothing. All of the songs here are good, with the exception of "Make Out Party". This is a GREAT track worth multiple listens. It actually sounds like it could've been included on Brandon's Sons of the Sea album.

SIA is unique to say the least. She is very artistic and doesn't sell out to make it big. And SIA can sing! Just listen to "Chandelier" and "Elastic Heart" and you'll be hooked.

I had very high expectations with this album considering the band members. However, something just seems to be missing. Don't get me wrong, this is a good album with some great songs. It's a straight-ahead rock album that delivers, but if they decide to do another one, I just hope they write the some of the songs themselves next time.

This is not an upbeat album. However, the orchestral music adds a dark tone to these previously released songs. Zola Jesus is a unique vocalist and with the orchestra, it's a pair made in heaven.

Overall a very good, listenable album. I love all of the orchestral music within the songs. It adds a certain beauty to the music making it sound majestic and elegant. Definitely worth a listen or better yet a purchase. The song "Shadow and Soul" sounds a little too much like Muse, but still one of the best tracks on the album.
