how great is this laptop, havent owned a big laptop in a while, have a netbook acer, but tired of small screen. ready to get back into a big screen and want all the bells and whistles but am nervous about which one to pick. so far the Model: m6-k125dx SKU: 3700055 is catching my eye more than others.. any suggestions? going to be new to windows 8

Good luck getting used to Windows 8/8.1. This laptop is a great option and I recommend the value for the money; if you are able to get it on sale.
Windows 8 is not that difficult to get used to, just keep practicing.

No Wifi??
I just bought it two nights ago but wifi isn't working have to plug it with ethernet, bought the geek squad 2 year protection plan(239.99+tax) but they wanted another 80 bucks to help me, I am connected to my Internet, password is correct, all of my other devices (ps4, Ps3, tabs, Cells) work just fine, can this defect be corrected or the wifi adapter is just no good? I have tried to get support from hp but when asks for my model it just won't be there other similar do but not this one, can this be fixed or should I just return it? Thank you for reading.
While it could be an isolated problem you may want to make sure the Internet options are set up correctly. Is it finding your router? is it connecting to router but no Internet, please better explain problem.

Is this computer really All-That?
I have 0 experience purchasing laptops. I get the basic stuff like memory and hard drive, but other than that I have no clue. It seems like a beautiful computer, and I had a nerd-out when I watched the tutorial on YouTube. Please, offer any advice.
I think this computer is one of the best values for the amount of money, with the needed features. If you are able to get the laptop on sale it is a great price. Fast processor, touch screen, great display, loud audio, big enough hard drive, and enough memory make this a very good value computer. It is a huge step up from the bottom $250-400 range laptops without spending $1,000 for top of the line. Have had for about a month and very impressed.

How to speed up lag and is there a way to boost coolsense?
I want the 1080p and backlit keyboard, but the computer is extremely laggy on startup and while on internet. Is there a way to speed up computer? Which Hp programs are ok to uninstall to make computer faster? Also, is there a way to boost coolsense? Computer has been running very hot and I keep the vents clear. Thanks for any help since I want to keep this, but the speed and hotness are a problem.
I have not experienced either of these problems. I would make sure the computer is updated and has an adequate antivirus program. Sometimes the programs starting can slow down the computer.
