Our mistake

My husband bought this to charge his portable charger. He wanted something longer than the mini cord that came with the portable charger.
We attached the USB to the charger then attached the USB on the other end into a plug. Plugged it all into an outlet.
No charge. We attached it to power up from my computer as I do for my iPhone at times.
No charge. We hoped it was the cable and not the new portable power charger.
My husband pulled out the mini cord that came with the portable charger and it worked fine. Must be the cable.
I asked for the packaging so I could return it for him. I read the box. The cable was NOT FOR CHARGING!!
The cable is for fast efficient movement of information from one device to another. The double USB cable is not defective.
The moral of the story is to be sure you know that you're buying. Read!!

This microwave is the right size for us. I rarely use it for cooking but I use it for reheating multiple times a day.
It is quieter than previous microwaves we've had. I really like that.
I do wish it had a setting to turn the 'finished' ringer off. It wakes my husband in the morning. It was on my very first microwave in 1980. I wish they still did. Washer/dryers allow you to choose whether to use the alert ringer.
The one real peeve is that the light only comes on while cooking. That's a first for me. I don't like it. I want the light to stay on whenever the door is open along with when it is cooking.

A friend had one of these little fans in her small office. I asked about it. She said it makes all the difference in the world just circulating air. I needed a small fan for a dorm at a music camp and thought this would be great. I never got to try it before my husband swiped it. It sits on the floor at the foot of the sofa and is aimed up toward him. It allows us to keep the setting on the AC warmer which is fine for me. Saves $$$. A friend is a seamstress and with her iron next to her she can get very warm. I got one for her and it sits on another table and means she doesn't need to cool the whole house. Sorry that I'm tired and am taking the short way out. I googled the letters, then googled the full words. In short, it's a measure of energy use that is used to determine Energy Star rating. The higher the number the better the rating. I still suggest you google and read it for yourself. The brand doesn't matter. The meaning is the same... unless you want to know the specific rating for your Energy Star appliance.
