Knowing you have a 2 foot syncing/charging cable coming with a $600 phone is a bit disappointing. Finding out the battery on said phone makes having chargers at every location in your home a necessity really highlights the importance of this product. 10 feet for extended range. We have almost 25 wireless devices in our home. Obviously it takes a workhorse for our needs and if there are any issues we will quickly find them. Linksys routers that once ruled the market are total garbage. All of them made in the past couple of years since they were spun off. Asus isn't bad but their integration software makes it challenging. Netgear has the best coverage area of all of them and has a great app for connecting and monitoring performance and usage.

My wife and I have built our theatre room backwards compared to most. We had everything including the screen already in place using a cheap projector that I have for work presentations. Theatre quality projectors aren't cheap and we were close to pulling the trigger a couple of times and held off. Finally decided to do it and I can honestly say it was the best thing we have ever done. Mind blowing quality and crispness. 3D capable. Just an all around homerun. Couldn't be more pleased. Picture quality is as good or better than projectors that cost twice as much. We looked and researched for almost two years before finally arriving at this one.

These batteries were replacements for my Viper remote start fobs. Disappointed that the fobs apparently go through batteries quickly but it's a small sacrifice for all of the upside of having the remote start and alarm functions.

One thing I have struggled with is finding an iPad keyboard that would allow my hammer hands to type effectively. I had the Logitech metal one that was a clamshell type. iPad snapped down into which was nice and secure. Problem was the edges were really sharp and my hammer hands created issues. I never used it so I ended up giving it away.
This keyboard is absolutely perfect. Backlit keys. Long battery life. Ease of use. Real keys so you know when you have struck one vs the rubber mat types.
An excellent product. Highly recommended for the iPad user who needs to type on their tablet often like me.

Need a classroom projector to use with a Smartboard and also show movies on big wall screen . Any suggestions?
Epson models around $500 are perfect for this. Too bright for home theater but work great for presentations and movies thrown on the wall.

How do you submit a rebate request for Epson 5030 bought from best buy. There isn't anything on my receipts
My rebate was through Epson direct. I don't recall seeing any BestBuy rebates on Epson projectors. I think Epson controls pricing floors very strictly and any rebates are done in house. Might check with them.
Fwiw my rebate from them included a free replacement bulb and both the check and the bulb arrived in a couple of weeks after I submitted my paperwork. I was shocked it was processed and returned so quickly.

Less dropped wireless signals
I can only get 1.5 mbps from CenturyLink at our house (I can't seem to get an answer from CL why this is so). I have the combination modem/router from CL. Using my laptop wirelessly in another part of the house, my connection seems to be turned off and on erratically. Buffering is very slow and frequent when I watch movies. Will this router improve my internet situation?
Short answer: Absolutely!!
Like anything in life that comes in a combo your modem/router combo is really good on the modem side and totally sucks on the router side. Get the NetGear router and make sure to have your current router turned off so they aren't interfering. I'm certain you will no longer have any connection issues. For years I fought this with ATT combo modem/routers and constantly had weak signal issues as well as printer connectivity issues. Finally a technician for HP recommended a third party router and since that day no more issues. That was 2010 fwiw. My current home has 24 connected devices to the NetGear Nighthawk and it performs flawlessly. Of the 24 I have an iMac, 2 matchbook pros, 2 iPads, 3 iPhones, 2 printers, 5 directv boxes, a ps3 and several smart tv's connected to it. I'm certain I have left out some but you get the idea. :)

How about DSL
does anyone know how the Nighthawk R8000 on DSL
I can tell you it works fantastically on both UVerse Max Turbo 24mb and HughesNet which is probably slower than your DSL. Coverage area is best on the market for signal strength. You can always got to a cat6 cable from the modem to your router as this can potentially be a choke point for data transfer.

Earlier Version
We have this remote which we bought around 5 years ago. It is glitchy and does not work well to say the least. Looking on all the websites, it seems that this remote is one of the best universals out there. Has anyone had an earlier version of this model and noticed improvements with this one? Could we have just gotten a lemon? I am hesitant to buy the same model since we have had so much trouble with our current one. Thanks!
Definitely return it. I have two of these and they work flawlessly. For the price I can't imagine why anyone would pay more to do the same things.

are there projectors that do not need a computer?
While many speakers have a PowerPoint presentation, either on disc or flash drive, sometimes a speaker has a disc or flash drive made on some other program. Do projectors exist with built-in software independent of computer?
Yes. Most presentation style projectors have a usb drive where files can be displayed. You can toggle through the slides using the remote for the projector. Epson makes a great one for around $400 that I use weekly for presentations. Epson VS330 is the model.

How do I set up my cox cable box so I can watch it through my projector?
Is your cox cable box hd? If so run the Hdmi cable that would go to your tv to your projector. If you have a receiver run the Hdmi cable there and then the out Hdmi cable to your projector. Sound is your only variable.

We have the Epson 5030ub projector. It has a variable zoom to accommodate different size screens.
We currently have ours hanging from the ceiling about 16 feet away projecting onto a 120" diagonal screen that is approximately 10 feet wide and 6 feet wide.
