After doing a lot of research we chose the Breville over the Panasonic because of features, even though it was more expensive. We were particularly interested in the sensor. So far, the microwave has performed as expected and results have been perfect. I own many Breville products and continue to purchase most of my electronics from Best Buy. In this case, all reviews indicate a small percentage of manufacturing defective units and so we took out Geek Squad repair insurance just in case. We have been very happy so far.
