Alienware Laptop: Get your game on anywhere with this Alienware notebook computer. I originally got an open box version but noticed odd hesitations when background programs began or closed. The mouse would stop moving for a couple seconds, etc...
After some additional issues, I returned it and bought my brand spanking new laptop. It STILL has the hesitations and two IT guys can't figure it out. ARGH!!
Now for the good stuff:
Games like BF1 run in ultra and look great. I tend to play at high for better framerates. It does get warm, but nothing like my MSI stealth with the 980 in it. Get a basic cooling pad and you can game for marathon sessions without a hiccup or the fans getting loud.
I wish I'd gone for the better reams 1440 or even the 4k. At the time, the pricing made the out of reach, but with the new processor models about to drop, I could've gotten a 1440 for the same price or the 4k for a little more.
Last point...this thing is a beast. I've had 2 Asus rog 17" models and this thing seems heavier. Check out the strix if you want to go thin, or the new msi 17. I won't be returning this one, but I'd look into other models now that the prices have dropped.

Good with one exception

This station makes it easy for my son to charge his 3ds without hunting for a cable that's fallen behind the dresser. It's sleek looking and intuitive.
However, we use a protective case on his 3ds and it doesn't fit, so we remove the case when he's at home. Not a huge issue, but convenience has its price

Good product but check fit

When you purchase this mouse, you get what you'd expect; Razer mouse with great tracking Performance and cool lighting effect.
Now for the part where I removed a star (I waffled on it quite a bit). The shape is rather hummed and lends itself to a certain way of gripping the mouse. I purchased both this product and the diamondback chroma. The diamondback suits my grip bwtter, but the buttons are on the "fin" on the side and I miss them a lot when going for a quick action. The mamba haa placed them just where I want them, but the higher hump in the shape is not native to my play style. I'd advise you to test drive it at your local BB before deciding on it. If the fit is good, it's definitely worth the price. It's growing on me and I'd likely give it 5 starts in a few months time.

Is it risky to go with open box? If someone had a problem with that, please tell me what kind it was..
I originally purchased the geek squad certified. Everything looked good and all the packaging was there. However, I noticed odd hang-ups/hesitation when background programs spooled up or shut down. This madwill me nervous and, when I started to have some power off issues, I returned it for a full refund and purchased a new one.
Although many open boxes are just items people tried and didn't like enough to keep, there are some that are problems waiting to be passed on. Luckily, the issues all happened when the geek squad agent trates it when I returned it. He thought it was a defective motherboard or ssd.

Is the gpu upgradable
Not that I've ever heard. I'm sure you "could", but it would be easier to get the graphics amplifier from Alienware.
