I’ve installed a half dozen of these between my house and last apartment. I’ve compared them to many more expensive (and complicated) alternatives, and these have always been my choice.
No junction box needed, no cutting a massive square in your wall required, and not hard to install. They come with drywall anchors and mounting hardware. but to install them easily you’ll need a few things.
- Power drill (preferably) or Power screwdriver
- 1/2” bore bit (for the hole your wires will run through)
- Small sized drill bit (to drill pilot holes for your anchors)
- Hammer (to tap the anchors into the pilot holes)
- Screwdriver
You could also use a little jigsaw to cut a hole in the wall, but I’ve found that a bore bit is more controlled. You can use a bit slighter larger or smaller to fit your needs, but 1/2” has been a good general size for mounting a TV in my experience.
Your end result will look like this (see image)
It’s actually really easy - Good luck!
