Prevent computer overheating while you work with this ENHANCE laptop cooling stand. The five fans send air flowing under and around the computer, while the handy scroll wheel lets you adjust the fan speed and light level. This oversized ENHANCE laptop cooling stand is height-adjustable, so you can easily change the viewing angle of the screen.

All those fans not much air movement......

You'd think all these fans would move more air than this... It looks cool with the blue lights and the design is very nice but it doesn't move a lot of air and for 25.00 i was looking for function not just looks. I'm considering returning it. I have an MSI gaming notebook with a 1060 video card and this monster can put out some heat. My laptop has a great amount of high performance fans but I would like to give it a little more, the cooler the better it runs and the longer it will last. It's the first cooler like this that I've owned but it sure doesn't seem to move a whole bunch of air, it his however quiet and perhaps that's the issue, they need fans that spin faster and are thus louder. it runs off a usb port so it can't draw more than five volts and I'm not exactly sure of the max amperage on a standard usb2 slot but it's something around 500 ma and that is not much power to spin a number of fans at high speed.

Trusted name, great product, great warranty

I have one of the newer faster processors, as you may know speed, wattage and processor cores can mean a lot more heat than older slower cpus of the past. I have been using an enormous air cooler in my system but the temps were marginal at best, I wanted something better both to prolong the life of my components and to allow for future overclocking if I wanted to experiment with that. Liquid cooling can be quite an investment for a custom system, I didn't want all that hassle so I started looking at products like this one. Corsair has a fantastic reputation mostly for their RAM products but they make other components as well these days. When purchasing a pre made sealed cooler like this product the first thing you do is make sure your case can accommodate it. The max size radiator my rosewill THOR case can handle is 240mm which is what this product provides but there are larger radiators and also some smaller square units for smaller systems, as you'd expect the bigger the radiator the better it cools. These work just like the radiator on your vehicle, liquid cycles past hot components then is cooled when it runs through the radiator which pulls the heat away by using fans and then it moves back through the loop. This installation was fairly painless, most sites recommend it to be installed in the top of the case with the fans pulling air through the radiator and out the top of the case. Corsair for some reason says you should pull outside air in with the fans and not exhaust case air through the radiator and out the top, I am playing with that one, it's a simple matter to flip the fans over if you want to. The biggest issue is to be sure you can attach the pump to the top of the cpu, the hoses are heavy and a bit stiff if your case has a side window this product has a light on top of the pump and apparently you can get a kit to change that led color if you want to. The unit smacks of quality and the fans are very quiet and move a good amount of air. I am not that concerned with fan noise but some folks might be. You will need only one fan header as there is a splitter for two 3 pin fans. You will also need an internal USB header on the motherboard, you attach a cable to this that has a mini (not micro) usb connector that plugs into the pump to provide power. In the old days I was worried about the concept of water around my expensive components but this product apparently uses some sort of vegetable oil like substance that will not short out your motherboard if it should happen to leak. In reading reviews there are almost no reports of hose/radiator failures but it's probably a good idea to take a good look periodically. All I know is that my cpu temps went from a reported 50+C with air cooling to a reported 19 to 30C under heavy load. There is a software program on the corsair web site that will read the temp sensors all over your motherboard and some components so that you can observe temps, since this product my video card is the hottest component in the case as you may expect. If you don't know, 70C (about 140F) is considered melt down temp for a cpu but most motherboards these days have a thermal detection function that will shut everything down before those sorts of temperatures occur. Of all the sealed coolers I looked at this is the only one with a five year warranty. I'm sure many of the other products out there are just as good but I've come to trust the corsair name which influenced my purchase decision a lot. Last comment, the pump comes with heat sink compound applied but most builders recommend artic silver 5 or newer for the superior heat transfer it provides so wipe off the stuff that comes with it (careful not to scratch the copper surface) and apply a tiny bead to the top of the cpu and use a straight edge like an old credit card and carefully spread the compound with as few streaks and bare spots as possible before you screw down the pump.

Where can I find a cabinet with filter and fans for my desk top tower?

It's a HP Pavilion HPE
What do you mean cabinet? If you want more cooling you generally replace the case but that is not an operation for a novice. Sometimes you can remove the fans that are already present in your case and replace them with a higher quality fan, you may also have a few places inside your case that can obviously accept a fan but there isn't one there now so you could add one. There are lots of forums out there for HP owners try posting questions in one of those as I'm sure other owners have upgraded the cooling for their machines. Your motherboard may have unused "fan headers" on it, usually these are white and have a plastic sort of socket around them. Fans can be two or three pin depending upon if your motherboard can monitor the fan speed and if the fan has the sensors for same, usually both two or three pin fans will work you just won't have the fan speed monitor if you plug a two pin fan in a three pin plug or a three pin fan in a two pin plug. Filters are really pretty useless just accept that you will be opening your case every few months and using the shop vac to suck out the dust, you could also use blow mode on a shop vac but be very careful if you do that as some shop vacs can produce quite a hurricane and you could damage something or disconnect something accidentally. Just a good old fifteen dollar box fan can also help a lot if you just aim it at your computer case, of course that is probably a bit noisy but having a lot of fans in your case can get loud too!

is this compatible with an i7 cpu?

You get motherboard hardware for both Intel and AMD in the box. The faster the cpu the hotter. Most people will be satisfied with this unit but if you plan to overclock and your case can handle it you might want to check out one of the corsair products that have larger radiators than the 240 on this product. I think there are 280 and 360 radiators available but your case has to have space to mount it or you'll be cutting holes in it and mounting it externally.
