I wanted to fully accessorize my purchase and all the hype about the Apple Pencil pulled me in. I can use my finger for most things. If you're going to be using this like a writing tablet, to touch-up photos, or to draw on then it's great; but otherwise, it's not worth the money IMHO.

Great screen, but a little heavy

This is my first Apple product. I'm in grad school and decided to reward myself with an iPad Pro 12.9; with the trend of e-textbooks, I wanted a big screen for reading. It does accomplish that VERY well! I'm still getting used to how iOS works and the various other features. There is a lack of cases for the 12.9" model, and I had to let mine live in the box for almost a month until I could find a decent protective case at a reasonable price. If I had it to do over again, I would probably have gone with the next size smaller.

Of minor note, it does create a new network mynetwork-ext, so not a hive system. But has excellent speed and I've not had any issues.
