My first inclination was to take it back because the instructions were terrible and the stand is primarily plastic (it looks like metal in the picture). But I soldiered on and put it together. It's OK, not great.
Is this new remix better than the original? No. Is it worse? No. Just different. Songs I like best on the remix are She's Leaving Home (strings really shine), Within You Without You (gave me a whole new appreciation for the song), and Good Morning Good Morning (sounds like a freight train coming at you - very heavy). The only thing that I don't like is the guitar tone in Fixing a Hole (the piercing shredding quality has been reduced). The rest of the album is an interesting and enjoyable alternate presentation.
The Stones try to reclaim or revisit their early years with an album of blues covers. It's well executed, a good listen, and includes some great guest player, most notably Eric Clapton. That said, they did not capture the rawness and hunger of their early work. It sounds like rich old guys who've made it painting by the numbers.
This recording gathered the key members of the original Santana Band. The theory was good, but the execution was not quite there. A few of the tracks are reminiscent of the early Santana sound, but most are closer in sound to the late '70s/early '80s incarnation of the band. This album lacks the percussive fire of the early albums, and Greg Rolie's voice shows its age. However, the playing is solid and the songs are enjoyable. If you like Santana, get this and you won't be disappointed. Just don't expect a time travel experience.
