An excellent headset for any audiophile!

Wow. That is what I must start off by saying with this review. I have tested no fewer than 5 headsets in the past 6 months, and this headset has no right sounding as good as it does for its price when compared to peers in the same price range. The surround sound 7.1 and an incredible amount of EQ customizability using the Roccat Swarm software is what makes this possible.
I tested this headset in two facets: gameplay and music. For music, the expectation that people have for gaming headsets is often far too high. When R&D, materials, and programming have to go into creating a headset with a microphone and audio delivery, there has to be give and take at a given price for what quality of audio and mic you get. This headset delivers excellent audio for just standard music and audio processing. It skips the mistake many of its peers make of heavily emphasizing bass, and instead gives you a balanced audio experience out of the box. This can be tailored to user preference using the Roccat Swarm software, but I actually am surprised to find I like the audio I am getting right out of the box—with one exception being that I went into the settings and activated the surround 7.1 setting (it comes set to 2.0) and wow.
Now for gameplay, any mic that lets you converse with teammates will do the job, so I wasn’t overly concerned with that. My only ding on the mic is I wish it had a foam pop filter covering the mic to minimize the puffs of air being delivered into the chat when talking. What I did focus on was its performance with one of my current favorite games: Hunt Showdown. Hunt is a game all about sound and listening for enemy footsteps, gunshots, movements etc. to give you supremacy in combat. It actually uses Binaural audio, incorporating directional audio signatures into the game play! In plain English, with the right headset like this one, you can localize footsteps etc. with great accuracy and ease, giving you a competitive edge. The right headset with this game gives you a competitive edge, and I did find that this headset when compared to my daily driver gaming headset proved to isolate and localize sounds with greater accuracy.
As for comfort of the headset, this is highly subjective. One individual’s head shape, ergonomics preferences, etc. are going to very much from one to another. For me, this is about a 7 out of 10 for comfort. I have a smaller head for a man, and this barely fits snug enough to provide good seal of the earcups. I also am not that much of a fan of the headband and adjusting metal band being two separate pieces, I think it makes the headset look kind of cheap. But, at this price point, there had to be compromises and this is one that is acceptable to me. The earcups themselves are comfortable with the memory foam and do not cause issues in my gaming endurance.
I only have a few knocks against this headset. The first is that the cord is USB only, no option for 3.5mm input/output. The second is that I far prefer in-line controls to the output volume, mic volume controls on the left earcup. Third is that the cord is not detachable from the headset. This means that in the unfortunate incident that your cat chews up the cord, or you vacuum it by accident (ask me how I know about both of these problems), you will have to replace the whole headset, not just get a new cord.
Overall, I can highly recommend this headset. As part of the Roccat ecosystem (I also have the Vulkan TKL keyboard) it is a fine addition. For anyone seeking a reasonably priced, excellent headset with great audio and comfort, this is a great choice.

A best in class compact, mechanical keyboard

This keyboard represents one of the better gaming keyboards in this form factor on the market right now. For a compact, high quality, excellent performing keyboard, you cannot go wrong with this keyboard. Here are the pros and cons of my experience thus far.
Pros:
-The keys themselves, as red linear switches, are absolutely stunning in their feel, look, and function. They have low profile keycaps that seem to curve inward--cradling your fingertips with every key stroke. Roccat claims that these have some sort of reinforcement in them to reduce side-to-side play and I can absolutely attest to that being true. I have had no less than 4 red linear switch mechanical keyboards, and these keys are the first among them to feel this strong and resistant to side to side play.

-Low profile, compact footprint. If you are looking for a small, easily portable keyboard for competitive gameplay or precise typing on the go, this is an amazing option. It is so low profile in fact, that even with my bad wrists, I do not feel that a wrist rest is necessitated to type with this for extended periods of time. The fact that it is detachable from its USB-C cord too makes it easy to clear space off my desk if I need it, which leads us into the next pro…:
-It is compatible with any USB-C cord!!! I tested this, and the keyboard worked with any USB-C to USB-A cable I had. That means, that if you are running a clean home desktop setup and you don’t want to be unplugging your cords from the computer itself all the time, you can leave the cord plugged in to the desktop and easily pack up this keyboard with any other USB-C cord that is compatible with the device you want to hook it up to. I am half-tempted to take this keyboard between work and home as it is so much nicer to type on than the awful membrane keyboards there. With how easy this is to plug and unplug, that is a distinct possibility!
-The AIMO lighting option is super cool. I actually don’t even know where to begin to explain it better than Roccat’s website can, but I am really enjoying it as part of my rainbow vomit computing setup! For the other lighting options though, I have explored the Roccat Swarm lighting software, and I cannot seem to find any evidence that this has individual RGB programming for each key. It seems to be relegated to pre-programmed lighting zones. This is not a huge deal to me, but something that I want others to be aware of.
-High quality materials. Roccat cut no corners here. The brushed aluminum top of this keyboard is gorgeous. The plastics of the keyboard are not flimsy at all and are a silky, matte finish--befitting a more grown up gaming keyboard. The hinges of the feet of the keyboard are firm and snappy, something I noticed when I first messed with them. All in all, the build quality of this keyboard is outstanding.
-Unlike some manufacturers, I appreciate the placement ROCCAT chose to put some of the FN secondary options on various keys. For example, on this truncated keyboard, I find that I appreciated the choice of turning the Windows shortcut key on the left into an FN key, making it easier with my natural typing position to navigate some of the FN media keys. This was done by the way by selecting FN and END together.
Cons:
-Only the most sensitive ears will notice (the same ones that noticed the mosquito ring tone back in like 2005-2008 that all the kids would play during classes), but there is a very high pitched low-buzzing noise that my specific keyboard is emitting, similar to coil whine. I have tested it, and the source seems to be from the LED lighting of the keyboard. When I turn off the LED lighting, the noise disappears. The brighter the LED lighting, the louder it is. I was able to get down the brightness to a certain level where the noise was no longer emitting. This could be unique to my unit and I am sure that if it is something that bothered me enough, Roccat would stand behind there warranty and replace it. Frankly, I do not think most people will notice this and the issue is eliminated altogether with a headset while computing or gaming.

Overall, pros and cons placed into consideration. I will give this keyboard a huge thumbs up. I am thrilled to have it as part of my gaming arsenal, and it is further evidence that Roccat knows what they are doing in the gaming industry!

Super fun for the whole family!

I am having so much fun with this new camera! My girlfriend’s little sisters are delighted by the fun they are having with getting in the Canon mini print app and adding fun frames and text to the pictures and then having them print out as-edited seconds later!
The setup on this camera was super easy. Out of the box, I just made sure to charge it up using the included micro USB cable and then I followed the instructions on the handy little instruction card included. The download of the app was easy on my iPhone-I just used the included QR code in the instructions to get to the app in the AppStore quickly. The printer included 10 2”x3” sticky-backed paper sheets ready to go in this thing! We just loaded them up and the camera was ready to go! Additional Zero Ink printer paper is affordable and easy to get through any major e-tailer store!
One of the coolest things I am enjoying is the complete control of the camera and printing function through the smart phone. You can take pictures with the camera itself using your smartphone OR you can use your smartphones camera through the app and have pictures printed out through the printer function of the camera!
Overall, I think this camera is a great gift idea or a fun item for those who like to scrapbook or enjoy the pleasure of having hard copy pictures right away!

An awesome family, home office/school printer!

This printer has fit excellently into my family needs for printing, especially in the midst of a lockdown when schoolwork and office work are both being accomplished at home! Some of the benefits I am enjoying about this printer are that it is small enough to fit into a reasonable sized office or computer room, but large enough with plenty of paper capacity and printing speed/efficiency to get the job done well. Dimensions are 16.7” long by 14.9” deep by 9.8” tall. The printer set up, like previous Epson printers I have had, was very easy-- connecting to the Wi-Fi in my house quickly and getting set up on multiple computers and devices no problem. I like that this printer has an ADF copier/scanner/fax feature and a scanner tray you can manually place items on for scanning. The two-sided printing is awesome and honestly that alone cuts down on paper consumption a great deal. The only thing I will be keeping an eye out for is suitable generic ink substitutes as with other Ink cartridge types from Epson, the replacements are very expensive for the 822 or 822XL cartridges. Again, however, it is looking based on current rates of printing and ink levels that these cartridges will last for many, many prints! Overall I am very happy with the upgrade to this printer and what it is offering for a school and work lockdown household!

Perfect combo for casual espresso drinks and drip!

This machine is close to having it all when it comes to coffee-based beverages. You get the ability to make delicious drip coffee on a programable auto schedule and to make reasonably good espresso all in one 14” wide, 13” tall, 11” deep counterspace-saving machine! Allow me to start to break down some of the features I appreciate.
This machine has a dual heating system so you can be pull espresso shots while actively brewing a fresh pot of coffee. I appreciate this multi-tasking ability as it makes for some nice hosting with guests over-everyone gets their preferred beverage! The drip coffee reservoir and espresso water/steamer wand water are in two separate containers so that you manage and refill the water on each separately as your needs dictate.
I am no expert in the making of espresso specialty beverages, but here are a few tips I have picked up in my research that help with this machine. First, the flavor and body of your espresso shot have everything to do with an appropriate grind of the coffee beans and appropriate tamping of the coffee “puck” in the filter basket. Do not be fooled into buying expensive boutique “espresso beans” your first go arounds with this. Learn how to properly grind (or choose good coffee grounds for espresso) and how to properly tamp first—even Folgers taste delicious when done right! There are some great YouTube tutorials on how to accomplish both of these tasks appropriately to pull proper shots. As the frothing wand goes, it works great and is another item I learned on YouTube how to use appropriately. With enough practice, you can make some great Lattes, Cappuccinos, etc. etc. with this machine; certainly good enough to satisfy the cravings of a daily espresso drinker and to entertain and wow your guests!
The drip coffee system on this is quite cool and straight forward. It includes a reusable “Gold” filter that I find to be great but can use disposable paper cone filters. It has capacity to make about 12 cups it looks like, but the carafe is demarked “10 cups”. It has a programable timer for when to initiate the brewing, a warmer plate, bold setting, and has an auto drip-stop as most brewers do today to let you poor a cup of coffee mid-brew. All in all, those are all the features I personally care about with a coffee brewer and does justify it as a replacement for a standalone drip coffee brewer! The coffee it yields by the way is delicious; not all drip coffee makers are alike. How they introduce water through the grinds and the temperature the water is heated at maters, and this machine produces some incredibly delicious drip coffee!
Altogether, I think this is an excellent package that De’Longhi is offering here. In my opinion, it is an excellent gateway drug into the world of handcrafted espresso beverages; I am already researching higher-end coffee bean grinders, specialty serving glasses, etc. thanks to this machine! De’Longhi is a titan in the industry of coffee and espresso beverages, you will not be disappointed spending your money on this!

An excellent Air-Fryer for a single/small family!

Thus far I am incredibly please with this air fryer! My favorite feature of it is the fact that the cooking pan and air circulation crisping tray insert are both dishwasher safe, making clean up as easy as tossing both components in the dishwasher. Also, the pan and crisping tray are nonstick, so I am finding I am using less oil. I have found that the touch screen interface is high quality and easy to navigate. As with other air fryer’s, it offers different modes like bake, dehydrate, air circulate, etc. to help you accomplish whatever cooking task you are going for. Thus far I have made frozen chicken strips and sweet potato fries inside of this air cooker and have found that this air fryer is indeed far more efficient and quicker to get the job done than my full-sized oven. I also have really enjoyed making a 1.5Ibs pork loin and 6 chicken drum sticks inside this air fryer with great success! The 4qt size handles 3.3Ibs worth of food according to the description and is good for about 3-5 people for servings of items such as fries and chicken strips, and I see this as being correct. Of course, you are able to scale down if you are single like me and most of the time just cooking for yourself or wanting leftovers for later. A feature that I like about this air fryer is the turn reminder that lets you know when you are halfway through the cooking time so you can flip or shake the items inside as needed. My only thought there is I would appreciate a louder beep than it comes with stock as it can be hard to hear if you are not in close proximity. Another feature I appreciate is how you can pull out the tray and reinsert anytime during the cooking cycle and it will resume the cooking cycle you are on. Overall, I am very pleased with this Air Fryer and happy to have it in my kitchen!

A professional keyboard from a great company!

This K845 keyboard from Logitech is excellent, a fine entry into the professional keyboard market from a company known for making amazing gaming keyboards!
Now mechanical keyboards do not just have to be opulent, RGB vomit keyboards if one is seeking the excellent typing action associated with them. The action on this keyboard is smooth as to be expected with red switches. Red switches have a “linear’ travel, meaning that when you press the key, you push through a smooth stroke without any tactile bump or click to overcome. This keyboard should be an amazing transition for anyone coming from a membrane keyboard that most cheaper keyboards are supplied with.
The key caps have a tacky feel to them—made of a porous plastic material. I actually enjoy the porous feel as it keeps your fingers from slipping off too easily in conjunction with a good, sloped angle to the keycaps. It also supplies the keyboard with a more subdued, matte look as opposed to a shinier finish. This to me, along with the white backlighting is more indicative of a professional or mature office setting. However, with the combination of the FN key + F12, you can cycle through five different fun lighting patterns to spice it up a little bit. I particularly enjoy the starlight “random” effect that lights up random keys individually as this looks good on the matte-gray keys against the aluminum deck.
The keyboard deck as I said is an aluminum material, giving this keyboard a high-quality look. However, this is not the brushed aluminum of the more expensive counterparts in the Logitech lineup. Logitech does well stratifying their keyboard options through the different price rangers with attractive features that meet the expectation of the cost you are paying. Size wise this keyboard manages to have a very compact footprint on my desk while still being a full-size keyboard including a number pad. The idea of compact with a lot of professional keyboards now is to exclude the number pad which is an absolute no-go for me. For data entry and logging and Excel spreadsheet work, I find my use of a number pad to be essential to my workflow.
Overall, I am enjoying this keyboard. I wish I could replace all the keyboards in my company with these keyboards as this is so much nicer to type on than outdated, years old membrane keyboards.

Jack of all trades, master of all!

My experience with this express cooker has been one of incredible satisfaction. This crockpot/pressure cooker is as versatile as it is easy to use! First of all, I really appreciate and cannot emphasize enough how nice the easy release steam knob is. There is no need for a ladle or rag or anything else to help you release steam from the pressure cooker. The knob for the steam release valve is positioned far enough away that you don’t have to concern yourself with being burned. Additionally, it makes it really easy to just gently turn the knob and control exactly how quickly and how much steam you want to release.
I made pulled pork with this express cooker as one of my first dishes to try in it. I started off by using the brown/sauté mode to sear the pork shoulder and it did a great job of it; heating up quickly and not getting so hot as to burn the meat. For the remainder of the task, I chose manual pressure/heat selecting high and for 75 minutes. At the end of the cooking time, the screen began to count up in minutes to show how long the pressure had been given to naturally release. All in all, the end result was some delicious, pull-apart pulled pork that made my girlfriend and I extremely happy!
The cleanup was easy too. Something we noted was that the cooking pot appears to have some kind of anti-stick coating applied to it that made all the cooked-on pork and barbecue sauce just wipe off with ease. Our old pressure cooker had a stainless-steel cooking pot that made cleanup an absolute chore.
Overall, for the price and the features, I think this is an excellent competitor in the pressure cooker space and should cause other manufacturers to rethink how the do their steam release systems!

Excellent recovery tool for athletes and novices!

I will come right out with it and say I hate training my legs. I am not genetically gifted when it comes to my ability to recovery from strenuous exercise and one of the last leg workouts I did before coming into possession of these compression boots rendered me unable to do much more than waddle around for about 4 or 5 days. While these boots are no miracle, they definitely in my subjective opinion help to speed up recovery and come at a level of quality and utility one would expect at this price point.
As is obvious from the name in the title, these boots are wireless. Thus, you are not required to be tethered to any nearby outlet while wearing these. The charger comes with outlet prongs that are appropriate to all the major AC outlets in the world. The boots themselves seem to charge quickly when hooked up (one AC wall adapter plug Y’s into two cables for charging, saving on bulkyness). The boots themselves do seem to last for about an hour: I get through about a Netflix episode and a third with these before they have to be charged.
Overall, I am very happy with these boots and can’t begin to describe how much relief they provide to sore, achy muscles and legs when putting these on. Just be sure if you have any medical conditions such as diagnosed DVTs, lower extremity edema, etc. to discuss the use of these boots with your provider first as you could be inadvertently putting yourself in harm’s way.

I am very happy with this double charging pad. It works exactly as advertised, delivering the ability to charge to Qi wireless charging compatible devices at once! One of the first things I do after a long shift is dump all the stuff in my pockets on the counter. Now I like to put my AirPods Pro’s and my phone on the charger and let them get juiced up while I decompress. The charging device itself is not an eye sore and works really well to date. I highly recommend it!

Yes, it does scan both sides of a document and a card! I found it to be extremely user friendly, I just had to be patient with the updates to the software and firmware upon first setting it up :)

From Steelseries' Blog post on the hybrid mechanical switches, "Like a blue switch, it registers a keypress with a click at 2mm, bottoms out at 4mm, and requires 50cn of force to press. Because it is a mechanical switch, you can even put aftermarket keycaps on them"

Extremely well, depending on your needs. I use it for battlefield 1 and Doom and I love it. The programable buttons work awesome. For RPGs you may want a mouse that has more programable buttons, depending on your style :) If that is the case, I recommend the one's below:

How long does the battery last and can the ram be upgrade
Battery has averaged 2.5 to 3 hours under normal use and 1 hour or so with gaming (as should be expected in any gaming laptop, really). The RAM can be upgraded given you are patient and careful when you unscrew and pry open the back. 8GB of 2133Mhz RAM is what it has stock in one of the two available slots.

will programs be installed on the ssd before the hdd
Yes, they will be. By default to allow quick bootup and accessing times. You can select the 1TB "D" drive though when you are downloading. I keep all of my games on the 1TB drive and it has worked perfectly.
