Monitor for the competitive gamers!

I feel like for this review, it is extremely important to distinguish who this monitor is for and who it ISN’T for. So, let’s begin. First, choose this monitor if you are a PC gamer, or you are looking at buying this for a PC gamer. The only hardware currently capable of utilizing the full refresh speed of this monitor comes from high end PC’s that are running the latest GPU and CPU combinations. Console gamers would be wasting their money connecting to a monitor like this.
Next, you are generally playing games in the eSport category like Counter Strike that are graphically less intensive but benefit from high refresh rates for maximum competitive potential. This would be a waste of your money if you are just planning on playing the Witcher 3 Remastered at 100FPS because you are spending your money on refresh rate potential where what you would benefit from is higher resolution and possibly a different panel entirely like an OLED panel.
Finally, I would say that this monitor is for people who have been acquainted with higher refresh gaming well, such as at 120-240FPS range and truly believe they would benefit from this jump up in refresh rate. I will say that I am someone who can definitely notice the difference in my games like Hunt Showdown when I go from 60FPS max refresh to 100FPS plus, but above 240FPS I am starting to have a harder time noticing. Hawk eyed Counter-Strike 2 players would definitely notice, but for a mixed-genre gamer like me, this monitor is going to have diminishing returns quickly when it comes to what one’s hard-earned dollars are paying for relevant to gaming performance.
With all that said… This monitor truly is a marvel.
I have a 4070 Super with a 13th gen i7-13700F CPU and I was just floored by how smooth EVERYTHING about this monitor is. I am not going to lie, even just browsing around Windows and opening up apps and web pages and browsing websites alone is incomparably smooth on this monitor. Where things get the most interesting though is with gaming on the above described games. I feel a bit like a Prius driver stepping into a Ferrari when I am using this monitor in competitive shooters.
Overall, I think that if you are researching this monitor intently, you are likely an enthusiast who knows what you are doing and already knows that his monitor is truly one of a kind in the market in Q4 2026. If you just stumbled onto this monitor though and are tying to see if it would make sense for a casual gaming set up etc., I would advise and encourage you that you can find highly reasonable monitors for gaming that look and perform incredibly at a third of this price and that still boast higher refreshes of 120-240hz. But if high native refresh is what you are looking for, than you have found it!

Nice touchscreen daily use laptop!

The ultralight laptop space has many good picks today, and there are several features to this laptop that could make it a potentially excellent pick for a multitude of users, but not the best for others. Generally, this laptop is incredibly well built and just feels nice to work on. The keyboard is awesome to type on, up there with some of my favorite keyboards to type on, like newer MacBooks. The key placement is logical without any strange arrangements or sizing, and the function row gives you full control of your media functions and device brightness without having to hold down the Fn button for any of the presses. I particularly like that the trackpad is a nice size for this device and is “clickable” all the way across the touchpad, even if it is a diving board spring design that gets a bit stiffer at the top of the trackpad.
Now for some nitpicks. While I love the sharpness, viewing angles, and color accuracy of the OLED screen, it is HIGHLY reflective. When I bring this up, I am talking about sitting in front of a window without direct sunlight and the glare still being so pronounced that the screen has to be tilted just right to see what you are doing. This issue is further compounded by the fact that the screen can only get to 300 nits brightness which is quite dim and is no better than many cheaper IPS panels used on other laptops. The annoyances of this screen though are redeemed somewhat by it being a touchscreen which lots of people are really going to appreciate. Additionally, the OLED screen really is just a beauty to behold, so if you can enjoy this screen in environment that isn’t overly challenging with reflections, you will be in good shape!
The 8GB of RAM on this laptop does not leave hardly any headroom at all for multitasking on this laptop. Gratefully, this laptop equipped with its Intel i5 Core 5 320 chip has managed to feel pretty competent and smooth running through a series of different tasks and programs running in the background, but it is a little unnerving seeing the laptop memory use spike up to 100% when I am just running a series of mundane tasks like a few Chrome tabs and some Word document processing. The RAM also is not upgradeable, so this is the RAM you are stuck with for the life of the laptop. So, to sum it up, I would say that while the 8GB of RAM is not an incredibly limiting factor for the laptop now in 2026, I could see it being quite limiting even in just a manner of a few years as Window updates and programs get heavier duty on these mobile devices.
There are many refinements and enjoyable aspects about this laptop that make it nice to use as a daily productivity laptop. It is a relatively quiet laptop. While it has fans, I almost never heard them spin up significantly during normal workloads of Microsoft office program use and Chrome tab browsing. The Hello Windows facial recognition makes logging in super convenient and works quicker than other Windows devices I have used. The battery life and weight of this laptop are also phenomenal. This laptop could practically disappear into a laptop bag without you noticing and the included charger is a GAN small form factor 65-watt charger and is SUPER compact which further bolsters the appropriateness of this laptop as a lightweight travel device. Finally, the build quality itself is amazing. It is an all-metal construction and just feels very sturdy in a market where laptops at this price point are still being constructed as plastic abominations.
Altogether, I feel this laptop deserves a reasonable 4.5 out of 5 stars rounded up to 5 stars. I cannot really complain that this does not have more than 8gb as RAM as there are other HP Omens available with more RAM if that is what suits a prospective buyer. This laptop is targeting daily casual users who are planning on doing standard workloads and tasks that really don’t require the lift of more RAM. I hope you have found this review helpful!

Simple, effective wired connectivity

This headset is honestly a breath of fresh air as a gamer in a space dominated by wireless devices with all manner of different connectivity and software frustrations. This HyperX Cloud Alpha is an Open-Back gaming headset that may be a game changer for many users. Before getting much wordier, I just want to launch right in that I am somebody who really values being able to keep aware of my surrounding while gaming (young kids in a busy household) while also being able to monitor my voice while I am talking to my teammates in games. This Open-Back headset is PERFECT for being able to do both. The NGENUITY software allows you as a PC user to utilize microphone monitoring when you are plugged in via USB-A or C connection while the Open-back design of the headset allows for a more natural acoustic profile. This is very nice and by itself really sells the headset compared to more expensive counterparts I have reviewed like the Asus ROG Kithara.
Right away, I will get into the audio of this headset. It is amazing. I love the quality of feeling fully immersed in the audio of my game or music while still being able to pause and hear my wife if she asks me a question. The audio of this headset is actually on par with my daily driver wireless headset I use that is DOUBLE the price of this headset. That to me is a huge winner. I also love that I can use this headset with such a huge variety of devices! The cables and carrying case are included to be able to transport his headset if you want and hook up to all sorts of devices and gaming consoles. This versatility would be something to highly consider if you are a gamer with a lot of variety to what you play and want a headset that can easily flex between multiple different platforms. I was playing Halo Campaign Evolved on my PC with this headset and was able to feel fully immersed in the spectacular soundtrack and game audio without any distraction or unusual sounds from this headset. The factory audio setting for this headset was perfect for my purposes, and I did not find myself desiring to change the EQ settings in any manner which is quite a compliment to this headset!
Another winner for this headset is the absolute comfort. HyperX NAILED the construction of this headset to be comfortable and cool to wear for long gaming sessions. The weight is great and the ear cups are large enough to do the job of covering one’s ears. They feel very comfortable while allowing for proper sound isolation through the headset. I am also very happy with the adjustment of the headband. The adjustments are done with positive clicks on each side of the headset so you can figure things out like preferring 3 clicks on each side from fully collapsed for your own comfort. No vague adjustments here; very positive and the adjustments stayed put through all instances of me taking the headset on and off.
Altogether, I have no problem at all recommending this headset. It sounds amazing for the price and could keep an avid gamer up and running for any activity they might use their gaming device for from music to movies to gaming itself! An easy 5 out of 5 stars for sure!

Pretty laptop with questionable features

I always appreciate the Zenbook line of laptops from Asus as a quick and easy reference for friends and family looking for easy to use and enjoy laptops. This one earns an easy recommendation for general use and enjoyment, but there are definitely some nitpicks I have on this particular laptop model. But to keep it short, I will say that the most likely candidates who would enjoy this laptop will be students in non-computer intensive courses of study (e.g., not engineering or computer science) who are just looking to do their online coursework or do some Office or Google productivity writing papers, making presentations, etc. The Snapdragon CPU and RAM combo present here is more than powerful enough and competent for most general users.
The laptop comes with some features that also help it to be quite competitive in the 2026 ultralight laptop space. You have a traditional USB-A port for helping to plug in legacy products like an older USB-A wireless mouse etc. and a nice HDMI 2.1 port which will make it easy to plug into projectors or monitors without requiring a USB-C adapter as with so many other ultralight notebooks. I wish these USB-C ports could have been Thunderbolt 4 certified for a tad more versatility, especially when this can be found on ultralight competitors several hundred dollars cheaper. User will also enjoy the facial recognition Hello Windows login as well.
This laptop comes with only 256Gb of storage space with much less than that being available to the user after updates and operating system programs are installed. If you depend on physical storage for files, music, photos, etc., you will want to have caution picking this laptop or have plans for cloud storage or an external hard drive. Gratefully, this laptop is redeemed by having a good amount of RAM that is also quite speedy paired with a very efficient CPU, so I never struggled to multitask on this laptop. Paired with these are quite and efficient fans that, thanks to the excellent Snapdragon ARM CPU, almost never spun up during my normal use cases. The speakers of this laptop are actually quite good for a slim profile laptop! Two bottom firing speakers are present, and they benefit for accuracy from being on a firm surface like a desk or table rather than on your laptop if you want to get the best audio experience out of them.
Now for some nitpicks. While I love the sharpness, viewing angle, and color accuracy of the OLED screen, it is HIGHLY reflective. When I bring this up, I am talking about sitting in front of a window without direct sunlight and the glare still being so pronounced that the screen has to be tilted just right to see what you are doing. And the final couple struggles with this screen is that is not touchscreen and is only 60hz max refresh. Another couple nitpicks regard the trackpad and the keyboard. The trackpad is not fantastic. It does appear to be made of good glass and allows for easy tracking and cursor placement as well as gestures, but the clicks and press of the keyboard are not fantastic. Only the bottom half of the trackpad, maybe even the bottom third is usable for the actual mechanical right and left clicking which is what I prefer. In an era of amazing trackpads, this one just feels like a throwback to 11 years ago when Apple was the only one who knew what they were doing with trackpads. As a person who has typed on dozens and dozens of unique keyboards in the last 10 years of computer reviews and productivity work, I can tell you that this keyboard struggles with keycaps that feel “slippery”. It is the best explanation I can give. I have a pretty sharp attack and press when I actuate the keys of a keyboard and I have moments where I feel like as I strike downward, my fingers slip to the side or off the intended key I am aiming for entirely. This is causing me to have to throttle down my typing speed a bit compared to what I can normally do on laptops like this. This nitpick aside, the keys, position, and size are great and allow for someone like me who is normal a MacBook user to type very accurately on this keyboard.
Altogether, for a laptop that is nearly four digits in price, I suppose I would have been happier to have had just a little more going right with this laptop. In this year of 2026, long battery life and AI support are not enough to sell an ultralight laptop. I look for refinement and features across multiple modalities of the laptop, and this one could particularly use a bit more of that. I will mention that I am being pretty harsh and demanding in this review, but truthfully there are no issues here that are truly no-go’s for the laptop. Interesting mouse held back by unreliable software

This mouse is a bold but somewhat ostentatious addition to any PC gamers setup. Turtle beach has created a mouse here that performs exactly how it should as a mouse for daily use and gaming. The wireless connection is stable, the versatility of all hardware buttons is present, and the hot-swappable battery system with TWO included batteries is absolutely awesome, particularly when combined with the fact that the batteries work with other compatible wireless products like the most excellent Turtle Beach Stealth Pro II headset that I use as my daily driver headset! Honestly, just with these features alone, it does not feel like one is paying too much for this mouse. I do just want to quickly mention that this mouse is LARGE. It is the strangest conjunction of being a claw-shape mouse but encourages a palm-based grip. I have medium sized male hands (medium sized medical gloves are just a bit tight on me, for context) and I will be honest that I struggle to control and use this mouse. If you have large hands or longer fingers though, you have found a great candidate with this mouse! If you have small hands, you may want to avoid this entirely.
Where it gets tougher to recommend this mouse is surrounding the cool but unnecessary touchscreen and flawed Swarm II software. Admittedly, I am a sucker for data and informatics. The screen on this mouse, however, is akin to the CPU AIO coolers out there that have screens that show temperatures, graphics, etc. It is neat to have this info, but is it necessary or useful to have in this setting? As shown in the pictures, I had a Command series keyboard as well with similar customizable touchscreen and on the mouse in this review, I used it to monitor my hardware temps and utilization which was quite cool indeed! To compliment Turtle beach, the touchscreen is positioned such that you aren’t going to accidentally hit it often unless you have gigantic hands, and when you do touch it, it utilizes haptic feedback to let you know your input was registered. The real fly in the ointment right now though is the unreliable Swarm II software. I was having a lot of difficulty with the most recent updated version of it as of October 18th, 2026 crashing, being extremely slow, and sometimes dropping off software registration of this mouse even though I updated the mouse and dongle’s firmware.
The really good news about this single major complaint is that it is easily solvable by future updates. I have enjoyed and used my Turtle Beach Stealth II Pro as my daily driver headset and I have not worried too much about the software until this review, so I am sure this is just growing pains with the addition of this new complex and interesting mouse.
Overall, I would say that if you have large hands, like Turtle Beach, are interested in the Command series line of products, I love having extra touch screens and info on your peripherals, this would be a great mouse to consider using. Thanks for reading and I hope this review is helpful!

Excellent gaming pad for the discerning PC gamer

This controller is truly an awesome offering from Scuf. If you love the classic Xbox One/Series X controller feel, you are going to love the placement of the joysticks. The Xbox layout is familiar and leads to a very fluent gaming experience for those who have used and preferred this setup. The whole thing escalates to another level though wen you experience the instant triggers to get to a more mouse-like click for better response in first person shooters and other such games. In Witcher 3, I prefer the normal standard trigger feel for full range of motion as it just feels better to me. The flexibility here is incredible. There are also mechanical buttons under the ABXY buttons which just feels fast and fluent.
I also own the Scuf Envison Pro controller which is still for sale and comparing the two leads to some interesting findings. First, the older Scuf Envision Pro controller has more mechanical buttons overall. The arrowpad has mechanical switches under each arrow and there are also the programmagle G-Keys which are controlled in the arachaic Corsair iCUE software. This Nemisis Pro controller has less mechanical keys and its controls are accessed through the Nemisis Pro 8K companion App. Finally, the Envision Pro has symmetrical thumbsticks, similar to a PS5, which some might prefer over the asymmetric Xbox style thumbsticks found here.
Where I am finding that his Scuf Nemisis really shines compared to some of the older Scuf controller offers is the simplicity and reliability of the wireless connection. In spite of messing with the Envision Pro tons, connecting it reliabily was always a challenge. With the Nemisis Pro, I was able to literally “plug and play” with the wireless receiver and immediately get going with some Halo Campaign Evolved and other games without hesitation or hiccups.
Overall, this is an amazing PC gaming controller which encapsulates many of the best points of a gaming PC experience: customizability, precision, flexibility, and aesthetics. I am happy to have this controller in my collection and I recommend you really consider it!

Gaming mouse for lightweight enthusiasts

This is truly a gaming mouse for those who are looking for a symmetrical gaming mouse that is so light that you would scarcely know it is in your hand at all when you are using it. Whereas there are many mice that are bloated and button laden with more features and connection options than most users could fathom, this mouse opts for simplicity. With that simplicity comes some interesting tricks to making adjustments on the mouse without the Web Hub software. As there is no dedicated DPI button on the mouse, you have to press and hold the right mouse button and back button together for three seconds to switch to the next DPI stage, allowing you to switch through each of the 5 DPI stages that are correlated with a triple flash of a corresponding color on the indicator LED at the top of the mouse. For example, Stage 3 which is 1200 DPI (also happens to be my preferred DPI setting for most games) is a triple flash of green.
Customization of this mouse happens through the Corsair Web Hub which I am quite enjoying utilizing. I have almost always struggled with the traditional ICUE software, such as with my Corsair K100 Air keyboard, so having this web hub for control and customization makes things far more straightforward. The idea that the PureVector collaboration between Corsair and Aimlabs is available for calibrating your aim speed is super cool. I have several friends who spend a lot of time in AimLabs who I know would appreciate this feature. There is a rich abundance of customization options in the Web Hub that I fully recommend you explore.
Altogether, this mouse is truly an amazing find for gamers looking for a lightweight gaming mouse that dispenses with a bunch of bloated and gaudy buttons and colors and LEDs in lieu of a design that is truly streamlined and allow for fantastic immersion into games without struggling with hardware and software issues. This TV has truly impressed us and been a great addition to our home! We got this for our master bedroom, and we have been thrilled with how truly complete of a package you get with this TV. The Roku smart TV features are excellent and make navigating through our favorite applications like Disney, Paramount, and Apple a breeze. The visual quality and screen are truly remarkable at this price. The antiglare of the screen is totally accurate and really cuts down on the glare from the afternoon sun coming through our windows compared to our glossy and highly reflective panel on our OLED screen TV downstairs.
The 4K MiniLED panel is amazing and honestly produces vibrant and color accurate pictures out of the box. I really like the dynamic screen mode available in the settings that uses smart features to choose what screen setting should be on. This allows for a nice bright cinematic mode to be selected on shows like Bluey (a favorite of the kiddo while we are upstairs doing chores together) but also dims and flattens the picture on a low-power mode when we just have Spotify open listening to some music. This is a nice set it and forget it setting that is a lot more in line with our use case for just some casual TV watching upstairs. I will say that the MiniLED does not hold a candle to OLED in terms of producing true black on the screen, but this also is substantially less expensive by nearly half in some case than comparable 55” OLED smart TV’s I have looked up. All but the pickiest of viewers are going to be plenty content with the excellent 4K imagery this MiniLED panel can produce.
A real stand out feature that I was thrilled about out of the box was the excellent audio quality. While I think the Dolby Atmos certification gets thrown around way too much in product marketing (e.g., tiny ultralight laptops that get Dolby Atmos certification, haha), this TV has actually delivered some really good, room filling audio that is more than capable of delivering a great listening experience. I am truly in no rush to want to even consider buying a soundbar with this TV, so that in many ways just makes the price all the more worth it as we can keep our setup simpler and our bank account fuller! Another commendable aspect of this TV is that it turns on IMMEDIATELY when you hit the power button! I mean it is just, instant, ready to go! My 2021 OLED TV downstairs is great but in comparison feels like a slug now compared to the user interface of this TV.
When setting up the TV, one needs to keep in mind that this is a true smart TV, so you will want to be prepared to do some account set up and password entering to use the full scope of the smart features. I didn’t find a clear way to bypass this process after first turning on the TV, but I also didn’t look that hard as I am no luddite and enjoy using apps and smart features on my media devices.
The only criticism I can offer is less about the TV itself but more about the Roku software. When you are listening to Spotify on the Spotify app built into the Roku software, you cannot navigate to any other app without closing the Spotify app and consequently turning off the music. This is just a tad bothersome but truly is hardly even a problem at all and in no way is worth altering my star score, I just wanted to reach to find something I could critique on this TV.
Altogether, this TV has been wonderful to own and the 55” screen is perfect for us in terms of not being gigantic in our bedroom but having the features we want to have an all-in-one, plug and play package for our needs. 5 out of 5 stars!

This is a great find that is yielding a lot of benefit to both my wife and I. We are expecting are new baby any day now and, with that, are expecting a lot of sore days for our neck and shoulder muscles holding and feeding our baby. With our first baby girl, we had a cheap neck massager similar to this that had to be plugged into a wall and, frankly, felt more like having a class of Karate Kindergartener’s practicing their moves on your neck rather than a true relaxing massage.
This Therabody Thermneck device is different. It combines heat and a variety of massage settings to really make you feel like you are being massaged into a relaxing state rather than being buffeted like a car in a drive through carwash.
The build quality is amazing and everything from the control interface to the materials of the massager are top notch. I feel I could walk around my house all morning with this on and have no qualms with using it, even on a really warm day. My wife and I are both able to use this and the securement strap is so easy to adjust between us to allow either of us to use it with ease. And as I alluded to, the ability to walk around with this and not be connected to a wall is a game changer for busy parents of a toddler and another baby coming along any day now.
Altogether, I have no qualms giving this a 5/5 star review and I would highly recommend this device if you deal with tension in your neck or shoulder muscles!

Amazing entry-level laptop in 2026!

I will start off with the TLDR summary by saying that, standing alone, without comparing this laptop to any other current competitor in this price range, I would absolutely recommend this as an entry-level laptop to buy in 2026 for most casual or basic users who are looking for a drama-free Windows laptop that is well built with many of the features that competitors try to skip out on this price range.
The features I really appreciate at this price in a laptop are facial recognition for login (Windows Hello), a backlit keyboard, decent speakers, and a lightweight build WITH a solid metal chassis; they are all present in this laptop without compromise. The only limitation this laptop has is its non-user upgradeable 8GB of RAM, which is relatively low in 2026, but I can say confidently that any user who would think this is an issue probably isn’t even reading this review since they are likely filtering out to 16GB and above of RAM laptops anyways. Therefore, dear reader, if you are here and curious about this laptop, please read on.
I will expand the review by just saying that I can tell Acer wants to take care of its customers with this laptop. The thoughtfulness of including a very nice and color matched laptop carrying sleeve is truly a very kind gesture and is perfect for the kind of folks I would suspect are going to be looking at this laptop, such as students on the go or seniors at home wanting to keep it safely tucked away for occasional use. Further evidence is in the many simple features of this lightweight laptop that just make it convenient for users of all ages. One such feature is the included USB-A port. I have relatives who always want to use the same USB-A wireless hub connected mouse they bought back in 2009 and other such legacy accessories, so I know folks like them will be pleased to find a compatible port on this laptop which is indeed remarkable on such a thin and lightweight device. The laptops’ two USB-C ports, located on the left, are both Thunderbolt 4 certified and are also both capable of charging the laptop. This is great since I do a lot of work off a USB-C connected Crucial SSD drive and having the speed and connectivity is great.
The keyboard and trackpad of this laptop are both amazing. I am an avid Mac device user and I was able to transfer my same typing speed and comfort to this keyboard without hesitation. I must really praise Acer here. There is no weird layout, unneeded buttons, and all the laptop control keys like screen brightness and volume are on the top row and do not require holding down the Fn button to use by default. This is a win again for ease of use and I feel confident that I could put this laptop down in front of my 72-year-old luddite father and he would (begrudgingly) be able to use this keyboard without getting frustrated. The fact as stated above that it is backlit is also a serious win on such an inexpensive lightweight device. The trackpad is a typical glass springboard style trackpad but has accurate tracking and is the perfect size for this device. My medium-large male hands use this keyboard and trackpad fluidly together without any accidental track pad touches. Truly, high praise to Acer for this awesomely usable trackpad and keyboard combo!
The screen of the laptop is lovely. I love that it is capable of 120hz refresh which smooths out everything from webpage scrolling to mouse tracking across programs. The laptop is capable of dynamic refresh in the windows settings, though, which can turn down the refresh to 60hz situationally to allow for increased battery life. The non-touch screen gets plenty bright for my needs and has very nice viewing angles with a screen that can go completely flat relative to the keyboard, meaning this would be as comfortable on the lap and knees of a student in their dorm room bed studying as placed on a plane seat tray flying cross-country.
As for battery life, this laptop manages most excellent battery life in this configuration. I have conducted no formal tests, but I can say confidently than in my usual use case of a full day productivity session with typing, music listening, and web browsing at a coffee shop, I would not be concerned about bringing my charger with me if I left the house with the laptop fully charged. I would legitimately anticipate, utilizing battery friendly settings like 60Hz screen refresh, mid-low screen brightness, and power saver mode, that one could get into the low-teens for hours of use!
Altogether, this may be one of my highest recommend laptops of the year for basic users. There just does not seem to be any meaningful compromises here that would detract from the users experience. I would be as confident and happy gifting this to a new college student doing a less computer intensive course of study (e.g., not engineering, computer science, etc.) or gifting it to a senior who is just looking for a comfortable device they can do basic computing on in 2026. This laptop gets a solid 5/5 stars from me for its balance of price to value and overall excellent usability. Bravo, Acer, and thanks for making a competitive and usable Windows laptop for everyday folks in 2026-2027!
