Works Exactly Like You'd Think

This cable works great. Some comparisons with AirPlay:
What this cable does better: I felt like there was less lag. Also, I was able to trick it into playing content that AirPlay won't allow (though the quality suffered greatly--honestly not a great solution, just something fun to play around with)
What this cable does worse: Convenience. If you want to do short videos, find a way to make AirPlay work for you. Getting up every 2 minutes to select a new video gets tedious (the alternative, of course, is having a monstrous HDMI cable going through you living room). If your TV doesn't support AirPlay, tons of devices have an app for a work around. Great solution for long videos from phone.

Great way to convert stereo to RCA. Goes both directions.
Note: this is a 3-ring (or 2 black/blue lines) stereo plug, meaning sound only, not recording. If you're trying to plug this into a device like a phone that uses a 4-ring (aka 3 black or blue stripes) male plug, this will output stereo only, not the ability to record from the device you plug it into.

Now, I recognize that the product title says "DisplayPort to HDMI adapter", which is why I asked a Best Buy sales associate if it could convert the signal going the other way. Answer is: No, it most certainly cannot. So I can't speak for the product as it was intended to be used. Just be aware that it definitely cannot convert the signal the other way, no matter what in-store people might say.

I am amazed at how easy it is to connect to this device. If you've ever had blue tooth frustrations (ie having to turn blue tooth off and back on, power cycling devices, etc.) you will be amazed too. There's a chipper little tone that lets you know you're connected, and I haven't noticed out-of-range issues (granted, I use this inside an office, so I don't stray too far.

Cool Product When Windows Updates Allows it to be

Ever since the most recent Windows update, my built in blue tooth receiver on my PC regularly gets disabled, typically involving my PC going to sleep. This is a Windows issue, not a Logitech issue; however, my PC is pretty top-of-the-line, so I know that others would share this problem. I can't express how annoying it is to have to unpack my old keyboard once a week to troubleshoot my blue tooth.
Why am I including this in a review about this product? Because a keyboard and a mouse are the only means most people have to control their PC to troubleshoot. This makes disabled input devices twice as frustrating as the standard issue.
That said...
When this product works (again, not a fault of the product, but a fault of a recent Windows update) it works incredibly well. Switching between two separate PCs is quick and easy. Paired with Logitech - K780 Wireless Keyboard, I have an elite switching mechanism for bouncing control back and forth. I love the concept here, and if they included 2 wireless receivers instead of one (or gave me the option to buy a second one) so that both PCs were controlled by wireless adapters and not blue tooth, the blue tooth issue I described above would be a non-factor.
I greatly recommend WITH CAUTION, based on your system and your ability to troubleshoot.

The water doesn't go directly from tank to pot, it goes down, over, and up, through the entire machine, so when you're done, there's going to be residual water throughout the machine. If this were milk, it would all spoil and gunk everything up, so at the very least you'd have to run a cleaning cycle or two immediately after every time you make hot chocolate this way.
I'd pick a much cheaper, easier to clean device, like an electric kettle. I don't know if these are designed for milk specifically, but if you were going to try it, these would be much easier to clean afterward.

So the Commuter has two parts, the plastic case and the rubbery inner sleeve. On this case, it's really hard to tell in a picture which is which, but the outer shell is slick and not grippy. The inner part is grippy, so you have grippy around the volume buttons, the sleep button, and on the corners on the bottom. The rest is slick plastic.

I have 2 stereo speakers. I don't know what wires/cables they need, especially since they didn't come with any, I wanna connect them to my laptop. But since I don't know what cables my speakers need I can't connect them would buying this help?
This device can plug into speakers using a stereo plug or RCA cable. You can google image to see what those plugs look like. To connect your laptop using this device, the setup would be something like this:
Bluetooth compatible laptop (assuming yours is) -----> Logitech blue tooth receiver -----> RCA cable or stereo cable ----> speakers.
But honestly, if your only need is to connect a laptop, and you don't need to connect via bluetooth, you'd be better off buying a cable that plugs directly into your speakers. If your speakers have a stereo or RCA input, you can buy cables that go directly from your laptop to your speakers. If your speakers don't have those inputs, this device won't help you anyway.
